So so proud of all the lads today. Being in front at half time was so surreal and such a shame we were so sloppy at the start of the second half. It was a bizarre game as I can't remember a chance for either side save for the 8 goals. Defensive sloppiness really cost us today bit we looked fantastic going forwards at times. Can't fault them at all despite the slips.

Think it was more Prem quality than too much sloppiness from Utd. They changed it around, started with two up-front in the second and it paid off immediately; they got the goal and the momentum. Had we been able to hold them for 15 mins, could have been different. But like you, so proud. We will be back..

Their second goal, when the beard headed it out for a corner when in acres of space and could have headed back to Howard. Harsh to criticise I know, but sloppy.

The cross was coming across with some power and I think he was concerned that heading it goal ward to Howard might result in an OG. I can see why he put it out

Huddlestone goal was sheer class, started the move on the half way line and great finish. All 3, yes 3 of our goals were excellent and I thought when Harry went on that run late on in the game he was gonna smash it in the top corner, Will never forget the cup run this season, Proud to be a Blade!

And he was probably not sure if he had a player running in behind him, or even challenging him. There actually was a Hull player there, but he'd given up on the ball ball before Brayford headed it.

Can't remember a game when all 8 chances were put away and not another single chance where the chance was fluffed. Normally a game with 8 chances would end up 2-1 or so. Having said that our back 4 were too far apart in the second half and the midfield were overun in the central area for some reason, it was 3 against 3 in there.. On reflection Bruce outmanouvered Clough when it mattered in the second half after we were so much better in the first half. Hull had the more experienced players and bigger resources but if we had kept it tight for the first 20 minutes of the second half where would they have gone from there? We didn't and we were wide open frankly and I still don't fully understand why. Normally we are so tight at the back and I didn't think they were that good and certainly didn't merit 5 goals.

...and I think that physicality helped Hull.
We were quite lightweight in the second half when a more robust defence might have worked better.
They also looked fitter.
