Three years ago our Jack, aged six cried his eyes out at Wembley. Yesterday, he couldn't bear to watch the pens and went down into the concourse. No tears, just resignation. We even managed to have a bit of a laugh on the long journey home. This morning I asked 'Shall we just not bother with season tickets next year?' I guess the withering look I got meant no. Shame he's got to face the Leeds fans tomorrow at school, but as I said to him, 'Just think, you could live in Sheffield and have to be facing pig fans.'

Facing pigs is no problem. He has it worse. I hate weeds more than anyone. The complete scum.

Our Charlie sent a message from Afghanistan last night ,'Unlucky Blades ,look forward to winning it next season.' I suppose certain situations give you a real perspective ?

i hope he/she comes home safely as i do all our brave soldiers.
