It has been clear to see that the team has been dire during Blackwells permanent reign. Maybe he was the best person to help try and trim down the squad due to his tenures at Luton and Leeds.

Unfortunately (for him), that's where it stops and if there is investment coming in, he would be the last person KM would put in charge of a transfer kitty. So Blackwell could have been a stop gap until investment was found.

Maybe. It is interesting that the two seem to be happening at the same time. I wonder whether the rumours and speculation are true about McCabe coming to the game on Sat to sack Blackwell. If that was the case surely he would have someone in mind - hopefully had spoken to them- before he did the deed. Therefore expect an announcement today!

Also the Telegraph stated that Robins was a contender too. Do you think these guys just pick names at random or do they have sources?
