Ha ha well I couldn't really figure it out... Scottish teams can sign from England and not sell, can buy and sell over the border or can't do either, but can trade between themselves?

As long as the initial papers are submitted to the FA by 23:00, you have until 01:00 to actually complete the deal. I think this only came in the other year when one of the top sides mysteriously signed someone after 23:00 (Robinho to Man City perhaps?). Really stupid when you consider they've had a whole month to submit paperwork and stuff. Perhaps the fax network went down?
