Usually when guests appear on this they talk about the football team they support, even if they aren't in the top flight.

I can certainly understand that her work as an unsung hero deserves more attention, but her connections with us seem to be airbrushed from history here.

Let's hope we never go down the road of courting 'celebrities' or 'personalities' again!

She has never really claimed to be a Unitedite. It's her husband who is one.

'Are you still a Sheffield United fan'

'I am a fan of the club'

I'll admit it doesn't sound convincing, but nevertheless she did say so.

Whilst I'm glad that we have moved away from 'personalities' etc it would be a shame (although not huge in the scheme of things I know) if what had gone on before still prevents her, Webster, Heaton etc from having any involvement in the club (even just by attending).

A lot of time has passed, it's water under the bridge now, and although I know its extremely petty I thought it would have been nice for the article to at least mention who she supported and her interest in football.

Room 101 for all the celebs above I’m afraid from me .. didn’t see any of them sat/stood the away end at Gillingham’s , Carlisle’s or Exeter’s of this world on pissing down or cold winters day when we were shite .. those who attended them are the real celebs & the ones that should have their name on a stand or alike ... something like the Shred Stand would be more appropriate

Did Webster ever really attend much? If anything prevents Webster from being involved with the club its due to her making a fool of herself.

I rate Jess and I am not sure ever really wanted to be involved with the club to begin with before the Evans saga.

She seems nice - she wanted to be sure she had a healthy pregnancy by being sporty, etc.

Like a number of people on here I occasionally visit porktalk to see how the other half think. There was a thread there the other day where they discussed how they felt driving down Bramall Lane. Loads of muppets said I feel sick but one wag said i don't feel sick but I avoid it as I'm afraid they might name a stand after me. Thought it was funny.

Paul Heaton has always attended games over the years, pre and post Ched-gate. Not every game of course but I’ve seen him a fair few times in the boozer before and after. The other two - better looking than him but there’s only one true Blade out of the three from what I’ve seen.

Mark Wahlberg did it last week and I’m none the wiser about who he supports either, unless it’s “Leicester Square” or “Fullman”.

Wahlberg used the opportunity to plug his new film. Jess used it to talk about inspiring young people to be more active.

She would be disingenuous if she talked about how she’s a big Blades supporter when clearly she isn’t really and she would be panned for doing so.

Damned if she does talk about United and damned if she doesn’t.

Let’s just settle for, she’s a former World Class athlete who is a credit to our great city and her husband is a Blade.

I was going to say "IF your husband is a Blade so are you" but that dint work with me mother so much :D

The stand naming thing is probably one of the most cringeworthy things we’ve ever done and we’ve done a few. It’s the equivalent of throwing a tarpaulin with rimmington the owl on it over a shitty rust bucket so I don’t see why the pigs take a moral high ground.

She certainly said she was a Blade when she did that prediction thing a few years ago.
