Something I picked up on elsewhere and I just wondered if people would like to contribute on here to see how opinions differ. It has been somewhat a mixed month overall with a couple of away defeats from winning positions and a very unfortunate draw against Bradford at home. Of course we then had the magnificent win at Villa which i'm sure shocked most and we all enjoyed it. I don't want to put too much in here as I don't want to influence opinions.

Anyhow feel free to answer if you would like to and then comment at will, don't worry if you don't fancy contributing.

1. Blades "player of the month" for January?

Ryan Flynn. Unrecognisable from the player we signed two years ago. Honorable mentions to Murphy and Baxter.

2. Best team performance this month?

Aston Villa away, any explanation needed really?

3. Best individual performance this month?

A few candidates (most of them being performances by the two wingers), but Flynn was immense against Villa and gave Blades fans one of the biggest wins in our history with his goal.

4. Biggest positive taken from this month?

The fact that 7 years after dropping out of the Premier League, we didn't look out of place playing two solid top division sides. The players showed in those two games that they have got the talent to succeed at this club.

5. worst overall team performance this month?

Notts County was such a monumental letdown after the Villa game.

6. sloppiest goal conceded this month?

Both of the goals at Notts County were very soft goals to be giving away, the second probably more so.

7. Biggest disappointment this month?

Not really capitalising or pushing on from the morale boost and momentum that the win at Villa gave us. That and not really resolving the striker issue, Paynter is adequate and better than Porter but still not really what we need.
