He's clearly out of his depth and the board have made a massive fuck up.
He's got to go, but the worry is they had clearly picked him before sacking Wilder so had done their 'homework' - what's to say they know how to pick the next one? Also they have gone to a guy like him without appointing a director of football and the lack of leadership at that level is stark.
Wilder did the lot, and I don't think we should go back, but the board need to ask themselves a lot of questions about the recruitment process for both players and staff, I hope they learn quickly.
For what it's worth, I think Dyche would affect this squad and turn around things quicker than anyone.
Agreed on Wilder, I don't blame people for wanting him back but we have to move on, and hopefully, try and find the next Wilderesque manager.
For what it's worth, I still rate Selles as a manager for what he did at Reading and actually keeping Hull up in the end, but maybe this job is just a step too far too soon.
Dyche would probably be the safest option, and likely wouldn't complain too much if he didn't have a transfer window to get any players he wants in, he'd just shrug his shoulders and get on with it.
Current squad:
GK: Cooper, A Davies, Faxon
Defenders: Godfrey, Tanganga, Bindon, Zatterstrom,
Robinson, Seriki, Burrows, McCallum, Shackleton
Midfielders: Peck, Arblaster, T Davies, O'Hare,
Hamer, Soumare
Wingers: Brooks, Barry, Chong, Ukaki
Strikers: Campbell, Cannon, Ings, Oné
Potential incomings: Alex Matos, Ben Mee, Manor Solomon
Potential outgoings:
Hamer, Robinson
Can't think of many managers who wouldn't want a squad like that in this league.
