this kids done nothing yet and already I see people are pinning their hopes on him..! sure he has potential but thats all at this stage. If he is our main striker then we should be pessimistic regarding scoring enough goals this season to get in the top 2.

We really really need to make one more pacey striker signing to take off some of the pressure on Slew. Hopefully then he'll be able to blossom.

I think if he's played with the correct partner then yes he can get 15+. Not sure who that is though.

We need to have 4 strikers that play in pairs. i.e. Ship & Kabba / Akinbadbuy & Webber. That way they form an understanding of each other and how they play. Don't keep chopping and changing all the time. Have your prefered 2 then try and have the other two as back-up. Keep them paired in training etc.

From what I've seen of him he's still "work in progress". Fair pace, decent ball skills, good vision, decent shot, decent finisher, but too easily bullied and no real ability with his head. Work on his heading and play him alongside a Shipperley/Chief type centre forward to take weight off him and I can see him developing into a 20 goal a season man. Think he may need another season of growth yet though.

I'm gobsmacked at how we are suddenly seeing this guy as the great hope to get us out of League 1. So much depends on other factors. Is the supply into him going to be any good being the main one. I think setting him up with a "will he get xx goals" is going to destroy him. He has nothing to prove because he signed the contract that we put in front of him. Where was the fuss from him FB? All the waffle came from the club, he just signed the contract and is getting on with things. Wouldn't it be remiss of him to not look at better offers elsewhere?

Personally I'm tired of the inane ramblings and will this happen and will that happen. Let the season unfold and lets see what it brings because I don't think any of us (more than ever) actually know. Its that long since we have been down at this level we are probably talking about players we don't know playing against us. Teams we haven't seen for 20 years. Players we have probably only seen flash up when they bang one in on Soccer Saturday and flash up at the bottom of the screen.

Wilson will probably be bringing a couple more players we have never heard of in, because in reality that is where we are. No point in pretending otherwise, we are in the unknown here.
