Is promotion a possibility

Would love to lay our play-off hoodoo to rest this year. Would love to beat the Pigs in a play-off final, on today's showing can't see them finishing top six. Surely Wilder is the man for the job, unless we finish top two of course.

I said it last season I'll say it again. Enjoy the ride forget about the destination.

As my mate Ronan would say "life is a rollercoaster and we just got on" (again)

Wel'll be a quarter of a season down soon and we're up there.

I can just see us finishing about 10th.

The game after a derby can be difficult, so let`s not assume it will be easy against Wolves. The Forest game will be the third in six days, but I fancy we might be OK against that defence.

Great opening Post and I recall with ease the ones even in January/February last season saying we wouldn't.

Have you not seen that we are at present good enough? We are where we are on merit.

IF, and it's a big (ish) IF - we continue to get better as the season progresses then why not?

We started slow last season and finished taking the piss during April. We grew as a team as the season went on.

It's all about progress, learning lessons and continuing to grow into the season.

Why not is the words we should be using..........whilst just taking one game at a time.

Wolves next - don't give a fuck any further than that.

A possibility... of course...

Our team and I mean TEAM.. are a match for many more expensive group of players..

That's the Wilder factor.. a team beats a group of players and it's that that makes us a possibility...

Not saying we are up, but play offs deffo..

I'm pretty confident we're not getting relegated. Is that confident enough?

It's possible. I don't think it's likely. I expect a few teams that have had a poor or mediocre start will find their feet. And I expect that we'll get caught out by a few teams with how aggressively we attack (like the Norwich game, where they hit us on the counter and then showed us just how solid a Championship defence can be).

On the other hand we're way beyond where I expected us to be, not only in terms of points on the board, but in standard of play. While it's clear we can't dominate games in the way we did in League One, where we completely outclassed many teams, it's also clear that we can and will create chances and score goals. And we want to set up to win games. That makes us a dangerous prospect for anyone we come against.

Derby or no derby, Wednesday are not a bad team relative to this division. Neither were most of the others we've beaten so far (only Barnsley I thought were crap). Let's just keep making it clear that we're not up here for the tour like Bolton and see where Wilder takes us.

I agree that its unlikely, but most defences will look pretty solid against a team with one recognised striker who needs an ankle operation

2 points off the Autos after 9 games in so it's still very early but not going to get carried away.

Tough tests against Wolves and Forest to come this week - let's not get ahead of ourselves eh?

It is a definite possibility
We had a Championship level side when in the Third division ( which is why we got 100 points, you can only play who you play) and it has been improved
However, being a "70s Blade" Ill not get over excited till we win at the Stadio del Ruginne sometime soonish

We'll start to properly find out around November, still far too early but it's certainly looking good

Let's just concentrate on the next game and let the overall outcome take care of itself.

But it's hard not to consider it.
