Is it too early to start the result prediction thread?

Whether it is or not, here's mine.

I'm going for a respectable 2-1 loss, with the team playing well and not being outclassed. Ull to score fust, Brayford finishing off a magnificent team goal for the Blades equaliser on 43, the west side going berzerk all the way through half time. Hull to pinch it on 80 with a quality goal nobody can complain about, and the Blades singing all the way to the end of the game, leaving the players in tears on the pitch celebrating with the fans long after the Ull fans have left the stadium.

The sensible part of my brain would agree. As said on another thread I've heard a feeling for a 3-1 victory all week. Madness I know but i'm sticking with it just in case I'm right. IF it happens a fully expect bruised knees and skinless shins....again.

I was thinking exactly the same thing earlier, because I actually dreamt 1-0, Chris Porter in the 90th last night.

My prediction:

We'll be losing by a single goal late on when someone, probably Murphy, will be sent through clear on goal. At around 20 yards out, he'll be cynically chopped down, the defender will see red, the free kick will amount to naught and we'll go out. The defender's suspension will expire before the final and he'll be hailed as a Hull hero. We'll be distraught, made worse by the fact that we weren't even screwed by the Ref this time, the defender just exploited the rules.

1-0 either way, really. Both teams are strong at the back, and will give very little away. Worst case scenario for Hull is to concede first, especially with the first 20 minutes. They'll find it very hard to come back from that.

I've had 2-1 Blades in my head all week, currently 20/1 on Betfair. Lump on!

I am happy with a goal, not had one of them since 1993 :(

I missed '93 as I had already booked the family away on holiday - so I have never seen us score a goal in a semi or a play off - cos I was at the semi vs Arse as well.

Yes, a goal would be good but I don't want it to be a consolation goal - at least let it carry some level of hope - even if that is dashed later on

So you havent given over any head space to the possible outcome on sunday?

Give over.

Yeah, I've decided we'll either win or lose.

Don't know our team, don't know their team, don't know the prevailing weather conditions. Why would I even contemplate an actual score until all relevant information is known? I'm sure I heard some Rotherham supporter saying they were going to slap four past us on Monday's football heaven. Looked a right cunt by 9pm on Tuesday never mind by 10 to 10.

There will be one winner, the pub landlord. Who knows, I don't, but I intend to have a great time whatever.

A day to enjoy and most of all savour the moment.
Regardless of the result, this season has been a success.Soak up the atmosphere, enjoy your beer wherever you are watching the match and stay out of bother.
When sunday arrives i wont be nervous, and regardless of the result,i`ll be going to work happy monday morning.
In all honesty,i feel the same way leading upto this game as i did prior the forest game.
Says it all really.;)

If we lose then the one thing I hope happens is for us fans to carry on singing our hearts out after the full time whistle and all the way back down Wembley way. Probably the only time we can go to Wembley and just be proud of what we have achieved so far regardless of the result.
