He says the right things, nice to know he still thinks of us as his club. I wish him well and hope that you can prove himself at a higher level - i still think he would be playing in the reserves had he satyed at Bramall Lane.

The way they are talking up the price for Nugent I can't see us buying him anyway.

Wigan are linked to a £5m bid for him.

Yes it was Francis.

Read it on the way home on the bus. Why now put something like that in, is it because even though we won our last game we are the lowest scorers in the league? The stir can't even get facts right, in the back page article about the Bolton game James Sheilds thinks we have won 3 games, he must have just saw that we had 3 points and come to the conclusion we had won 3 :D

Anyway if we do buy Sharp back who does the 25% sell on clause go to that we have on him :D

Because the january window is coming up, billy sharp is a class prospect and we cant hit a barn door with a mountain. Oh and he used to play for us and is a blade himseld.

Id have a guess thats why they put it in anyway. ;)

Or maybye he's psychic and has us down to win this weekend. :D

For arguments sake, i will point out that his record at that level is no better then Windass and Beckett - it is easy to look class at that level and not quite cut it higher up. Look at Jon Stead a few seasons ago.

I'm glad that he has done well since leaving us but it seems to me that the sharp situation is just another stick for people to beat Warnock with.

I think we are far more likely to add Eastwood or Nugent in January and i personally hope that we do.

Ok Sharpy, the case for the deffence?

Lets get another 7 strikers in in january, after all we only play with 1 up front in majority of games this season.

I wunt mind seeing eastwood and sharpy at the club. But what would point in either coming as wouldn't get that many games.

I'm working on the assumption (maybe hope is a better word) that we will be seeing a clear out of at least Akinbiyi, Horsfield and Shipperley. That still leaves us with Hulse, Webber, Kabba and Nade but i fully expect Neil to add another striker regardless.

If another striker does come in we HAVE to start playing with 2 up front, i suppose we can theorise on this until the cows come home - till January all we can do is guess.

The reason he thought we had won three games this season is because the Newcastle match was our third victory this season.

Bury, Middlesborough and Newcastle. He didn't say three LEAGUE wins, just three wins. Not exactly hard maths is it?

1 Bury +
1 Middlesborough +
1 Newcastle =
3 in total.

You don't have to agree with Mr. Shields, in fact I think as a journo he is pretty poor, but you have to admit he can count up to three properly.:D

This is true and I did take it into acount, my maths skills may not be the best but believe it or not I can count to three. Does he feel the need to mention 3 wins just because it doesn't sound as shit as 2 to him?

I think he mentioned three wins because at the time of writing his article, (today's news, tomorrow's chip wrappers) three wins was how many we'd got.
