Wilder hit the nail on the head, as did other posters, that we need to cut out the defensive errors and be more clinicial up front.
On the subject of defensive errors though, I saw Dean Henderson, Enda Stevens, John Egan, John Fleck and Ollie Norwood all make fairly critical mistakes that could have cost us (and did in Henderson's case) a goal.
My question is, why have I seen such varying degrees of criticism on here? Reading this forum, you'd think some players are immune to criticism and with others, people can't wait to stick the boot in.
Take John Fleck and Enda Stevens for example. Stevens gifted the ball to Salah in our own box, and could have been punished. Fleck had his own moments where he was sloppy with the ball and put us on the back foot. Both players (IMO) had a great game besides the aforementioned errors yet the amount of flack they have recieved from this forum is night and day.
