improvement in atmosphere

One thing that could help encourage another part of the ground to be more vocal is to remove part of the right hand side wall (corrugated side panelling) on the south stand as it stops any noise from the kop being heard in gangways A & B on SS.

I sit in the middle of the kop and one of the biggest issues is a confusing divide.

At every game I will hear the lads at the back to the right of me start up a song at almost exactly the same time as the lads at the back to the left start a different one.

Now I'm always up for joining in but it's a hell of a problem deciding which song to join in with.

All that's needed is better teamwork off the pitch to co-ordinate the songs and Bramall Lane will rock as many more folk will join in.

So you're perfectly placed to conduct the choir! ;) :D

I sat on the South Stand gangway A at the back for the Charlton game for the first time and couldn't hear the KOP singing. I was talking after the game saying that i thought the atmosphere wasnt that great to which the mates replied that i was either mad or going deaf.

So think that would be a great idea to remove the side panels, although i do imagine it keeps the weather at bay in the winter months.

You must have been very close to me in row JJ then.

What you need is the two groups to move towards the centre back and become one.
that would be dead easy if you weren't locked to your seat. i've been banging on about this for years and it may be boring but you season ticket should be for the 'zone'.. that is what they do over here. 3000 fans here make more noise than ten at the lane i'm sad to say

That's why I favour unreserved seating in the BL lower tier.

Similar to the safe standing debate, which i'm in favour of, there could be areas of ubreserved seating, neither option would stop fans who want to sit down in a tegular seat doing so. That said there are plenty of spare seatd around G Block so no need to make it unreserved, plus we usually get in as they are kicking off so could lose our spot!

I love this clip watched it numerous times. What a day and what a fantastic atmosphere. This is when nigel and the new board really realised the potential at BDBL

Wonder just who they ripped the video off? ;)

We were down the side stand and knew it was loud n bangin but that just sums it up perfectly, makes the hairs on the back of the neck stand up.
great bit of filming by whoever it was!

There is a clue in the bottom left corner... I filmed it on my phone, the original is here:

Here's another not long after your avatar photo:

and another enjoyable one just to make it three :D:

Some banging clips there. Heres another favourite of mine from the away fans perspective, ok it was an epic win but it shows how good it can be.
Have to say well done to the charlton fan for staying and filming.

Does this mean that you'll be casting for you next straight to DVD classic, "Dances With Blades" ?

The lone orient drummer with the kids drum was very enthusiastic!
Got to give him credit for getting the atmosphere going though

We were at the other side of that covered bit of the green man near the main beer garden. I do enjoy that pub, banging atmosphere makes up for the distinctly average and expensive drinks!
