"We have had 5 managers in a year and none of them have been able to get these into a winning side that performs consistently. None of the managers have stopped us leaking goals and none of them have been able to turn things around. They are some dreadful sides at this level but sadly we are not much better.
Interesting point DB. Its interesting the think what is the function of the football manager/coach. They're not allowed to pick the players the want because of transfer windows and finance.(Could B Clough have worked under this system?) Are they coaches? Do they actually have training in man motivation? Like many of you, I suppose, I've played in park teams that have no coaching staff, no manager and yet we needed no motivating to win, nor did we make the basic mistakes like England against Germany when we took the free kick with all the players up their end! (Ooo er missus!)
Does my mind play tricks or did Bassett keep us in the premiership far longer than could have been logically expected? P'r'aps we ought to sign up Mike Brearley!!

Ertl. Dear god what a dreadful waste of money he has been. :(

Anyway ermm

Keeper is poor commanding his area & coming for crosses, Corners & Free Kicks. (basically just pump the ball in there)
Centrebacks lack pace & there should be a pacy striker on the shoulder of Collins
Save for the loan player SUFCs midfield lacks pace Especially on the wings
Williamson is prone to bookings & reds.

Why do clubs have scouts, according to police thermal images only 10% are in their tents at night.

Do we really play good football? Really?

Fair question and I would say for the most part, no.

Good football and attractive football are two entirely different things.

They can go hand in hand, but they can also conflict with one another.

In the modern era one has to buy world class players to achieve both consistently imho.

Good football = the scoring of and/or prevention of goals at either end of the pitch to achieve victory on a consistent basis.

Attractive football = the application of a preferred style of play considered to be entertaining to spectators, often irrespective of the result.

I honestly don't believe that situation can exist, for more than a few matches.

Most of the time, our football is neither attractive or particularly effective. Not surprising and not yet a measure of our manager, but I wouldn’t be at all fooled by what we've seen so far - or more, if this is what the promised land is, bring back hoof....:)

Oh no alco, youve opened a right can of worms there! Tin hat time :)

At most clubs youre probably right on that, but some supporters are deluded enough.

Look at Donny! They have apparently been the best team in the land for some time.
