I think it will be better all round if we just...

admit that we are shit, thus avoiding let downs etc...

we are a long ball team. nothing more, nothing less.

now im off to get drunk. have a nice evening! :)

Waaaaay ahead of you ;)

Although I'd say we're not even a long ball team. At least, not a successful one. We seem to have about as much in the way of tactics as we did with Robson in charge...

I wouldnt say we are shit but Id say we are not good enough for the top 6. We are too incosistant too many draws against teams we should of beaten.

Is it suddenly a stark realisation for people that we are shit?

We've been shit for bloody years... why are people so surprised and wound up about it? :D

I'd rather be a fan of the shit Blades than Wednesday any day though.

Now... where's that bottle of wine....

Thing is though, at least the Pigs can blame their shitness on things like finances and having a board that consists of complete idiots. What can we blame ours on?

I must admit, I preferred it when we were spunky underdogs with a never-say-die attitude to now when we're relatively rich and massively underachieving.

What gets me is that we aren't actually that bad, we can play some good passing football, and battered the likes of Wolves and Reading, its just the final product that isnt good enough.

Having said that Blackwell got it wrong today and we were shit, although we still made a fair few chances.

Our defence was the best in the league, we went games without conceeding which wasnt that long ago.

Bring back 433 and Ugo.

By my reckoning we need a new centre forwards, 2 new wingers, a new central midfielder, a new centre back and a new goal keeper.

The same was true when we were promoted, the same was true when we were relegated, the same was true when Robson was sacked and the same is true now.

I accept that we will not be promoted but i have also decided that i will not be visiting the lane again this season; i hope that i miss the best few months of footy that the lane has seen in a long time.

I disagree with the Goalkeeper comment Jodman. Kenny is fine, as is the defence overall. Our main problem is that we're unable to deliver that killer blow to teams.

:(:(:(

I also had a dream last night that Wednesday did the double over us.

Fair point, i actually would like someone to come in and genuinely challenege paddy for his spot to try and bring the best out of him.

My comments were alcohol fueled and i agree that the deffence is okay but i don't think that our problem is striking the killer blow; i think it is that we fail to work the ball trhough the middle of the park in order to create the chances.

The fact that our 2 strikers can be found on the wings during most of our attacks highlights this problem; our wingers are not supporting the forward play enough and so the forward men have to work the flanks.

Oh well, it was a poor game (can only speak for the 75 mins i saw) and our indifferent form continues but at least we are (somehow) still in the play-off positions and January is not far away.

I think we like alot of pace in our team!

But at the moment we are playing very poorly and i like others are getting very frustrated because on paper we have a brilliant team, but we just can't do it on the pitch it seems

People say if beattie doesnt do it no body does, to be honest i dont think he does it alot of the time.

We bluddy well should be a good long ball team after the countless seasons we have been playing it!
