That ball in from Leon for the second, that ball in from Norwood to open them up for the 3rd.... I've said it a few times over the years when we perhaps had less respected strikers (by the players and the managers) and we had the likes Cotterill or JAM, wingers that get you off your seat when they get the ball because they might do 6 step overs before they put a shit ball in. I discussed it many times on here, put the ball where the striker wants it, don't put the ball where you want the striker to be.

And under Wilder its the unlikely players that we've seen rise up - Bash, Freeman, Stevens, JOC aren't flashy wingers, they're exceptionally effective.

Every ball yesterday was into the area where we had the best chance of scoring - away from the keeper, in front of the strikers. The ball in from Bash for the first was fantastic, Leon's ball in at pace and to put that in front of Billy and away from the keeper was not only technically difficult to do, it was done with one touch, the ball from Norwood having enough pace to allow Leon to meet it and put the ball in the perfect area for Billy. Billy's finish was fantastic, smashed it back across the keeper making it difficult for him to deal with it.

Again, the 4th was a splitting ball into Stevens from Norwood, Stevens just putting it into the area to give Billy the best chance to do what he does better than anyone.

I don't remember a period where we've consistently been this good at kicking a football.

He’s a master of instinctive finishing...doesn’t matter how clever or pretty it is, he gets that ball in that net by any means. They all count and his overall count is incredibly good.

Whilst at Tranmere, Pat Nevin asked John Aldridge how he scores so many goals...he simply replied “I go where the defenders aren’t”. Billy does this so well, always manages to lose his marker and find space in the penalty area.

I reckon the hyphen is vastly underused piece of punctuation.
