Completely against the ethos of the thread, but I did ask Chat for a list of players who had played for both teams (after my Willie Falconer suggestion above)
Perhaps there should be a parallel thread for the most bizarre erroneous suggestion made by AI. I give you:

Dave Beasant (who played for neither team)

I think 8 of the 14 suggestions made by AI were incorrect in that the player didn't play for both teams.

Didn't play for but was born in Middlesbrough and thought worth a mention for holding two records still to this day for SUFC .......
1. 100% record for penalties ( 7 out of 7)
2. Player that came on as a Sub and then got Subbed in a Blades record time (14 minutes) v Fulham.
I give you ...Peter Duffield 👏 👏

Fred Priest outside left. A legend from our great team of Invincibles. Won our only Division 1 title in 1898. 2 fa Cups 1899 and 1902. FA Cup finalist in 1901 losing to non league Spurs. Winner of GB cup 1898 against Celtic. Top scorer in Division 1 1902. 1 England cap.

I was a young 'un at the time he played. I'm absolutely shocked to have just looked his record up, and find that he was only 19/20 when we was playing for us and scoring those penalties. Maybe it was the moustache, but I always assumed that he was in his early-to-mid-thirties - a dependable old pro towards the end of his career. That's blown my mind!
