Why is the Blades online shop so rubbish???

There is hardly any items on there, there are pictures of things you like and when you click on them they aren't there and postage prices is shocking.

I'm not being funny, but alot of us do not live in Sheffield, surely if they had a decent online shop they would make more money.

grrrrr!

I have to agree on this.

The Blades Online Shop is very amateur. But then again the whole Official Blades Online experience is very poor. cannot stand premium tv and how each club site is the same. I wonder when their contract runs out!

I agree too. Online ticketing is a joke too. It must cost them a lot of lost revenue.

Totally agree with you all. Good point bgrought up Rachy, and the club really ought to be addressing this issue, especially as we see to have gone all touchy feely on comnmunication with the fans. They need to hand the whole online experience over to people who are professional, knowledgable, have the club at heart and geeky enough to hold it all together.

Can anybody think of anyone that fits the criteria? <cough> Foxy <cough> :D :D

If anyone needs owt from the shop and they don't want to wait until they visit Sheffield, we're more than happy to broker the deal and post whatever you want with your choice of postage.

Just drop us a line.

it's probably because they rarely spend much money on things such as this, always going for the cheapest option rather than the best, in my experience

"things such as this" - that could surely just have been "things"? ;)

Aint that a nice gesture. :)
100 Bottles of Relish
140 Shirts
1000 videos
2 Dozen Fish Cakes
and one Chinese take away please :)

It's something I was going to suggest before, that someone who lives in Sheffield could pop and fetch something and post it on - now we have online payment technologies it should be so simple! I've no idea why they charge so much for postage, it's stupid.

Did order some stuff 4 years ago, and yes, too much for postage and they did sent me an L instead of the XL I ordered...and, the packet was already open before I could open it....

The only problem with that is that the majority of stuff in the shop is not on the online shop. You really don't get much choice.

If you go on a clothes shop online store you will see everything they stock in the shop and more. I can't understand why the sufc shop can't put it all online.

my guess is that their online and superstore stock control systems don't speak to each other in real-time (or that there is only one stock control system that isn't linked to the webshop). They probably get the stock control information via the point of sale tills and so the web site information is only a guess that something is in stock cause there's usually loads of them. I wouldn't be surprised if they just print out the orders from the website and run them through the till after closing each day in the shop.

Nah derry, honestly, the majority of stuff is not online, and its not to do with it being in stock, cos at times i've order stuff and it hasnt been in stock, so why not just put everything on, and if its out of stock put out of stock by it, its not difficult.

They also put photos of items on for advertising different sections which you can not buy online.
