I follow

I think it is piss poor to be honest signed up to watch games later as I can't get to every game. Just unsubscribed yesterday as you can find stuff on Youtube which has commentary and just as good if not better video quality.

Not really they can just say they dont support the use of a vpn.
But what if say for instance a doctor's surgery is also running a legitimate business using devices on the same VPN I'm sure they aren't allowed to shut down that VPN.

I'm not sure the doctors on call would be watching iFollow :)

It's not about shutting down the VPN, but iFollow blocking traffic from that VPN accessing their services.

So if a legitimate user watches I follow on a device on VPN he cannot access the service he subscribes to if they block traffic to VPNs

I think I've bought 8 or 9 games this season in total and it's a bit of a bad thing to moan about given that from 3,500 miles away I can now watch the Blades (almost) live each game, however it's not difficult to stick a timer and the score in the top corner of the screen and put some commentary on it now is it?

I nipped in the kitchen yesterday at 1 nil and when I came back the Blades were kicking off, had to look on my phone to see who'd scored and then on shoutbox to see how he'd scored. Replays and other functions should be built in next year and I'd happily pay a bit more per game for it.

Sort the Kitchen stuff out before KO and we dont need a price increase for all of us ........... :p

You can click on the Play / progress bar to get a replay, then click live to go again

The clock might be easy, but owt else would start to involve a production crew

I'll bear in mind the replay bit, I thought it only did - 30 seconds.

I was bathing the kids when Duffy scored so watched that on my phone, which was perched on top of the toilet in the kids bathroom (the wifi doesn't reach upstairs very well and the signal booster broke recently). ifollow is highly convenient as it is but they could easily link into commentary from another source and like you say put a score and timer up wouldn't be too taxing.

They should also try to employ cameramen who are actual cameramen instead of idiots who can't follow a football around a pitch properly. First world problems but it's still irritating.

Yes... But their argument would be why is a legitimate user accessing via a VPN when as a truly legitimate user (ie watching outside the UK) has no reador to.

It's not that they can detect vpns it's the major vpns such as PrivateInternetAccess that can have their ups found easily so ifollow just block them. The more unknown vpns won't suffer the same fate.

Basically the more well known your vpn the more issues you'll have. Those using PIA will definitely have issues.
I recently swapped from PIA to Nord, as i couldn't even get UK TV abroad on PIA. Nord worked a treat in "Portugal", but it did get stuck a couple of times so I had to restart.

It's an expensive service so they need to improve.

Have somene commentate the games as well as better quality (720p with low bitrate in the age of 2160p is below supbar).

Expensive? 110 quid for a season is expensive?

And I know, you don't get the Sky games and the foreign TV games. That knocks off about 12 games. That makes it about 3 quid a game.

110 quid. Jesus. That's a decent night out.

Anyone with a VPN can have many reasons for using a VPN such as security therefore if you have take down your VPN to access ifollow you become more vulnerable.
When Prem/Sky started blocking user devices that were illegally streaming matches they could not stop access to VPNs as the court ruling only applied to devices so I would expect the same applies to ifollow.

If you were using a vpn for security with any kind of seriousness, they wouldn't know it was a vpn.

But it’s about as much as I’m paying for Netflix over the same period. For a service that has many technical issues, it’s extortionate.

3 quid a game is extortionate? Really?
But it’s only £3 a game if you get to see all of them. Which I doubt most people do, but you’ve got to pay for those you miss anyway.
And then those games that you DO get to see have very bad sound issues, by the end of the first half the crowd reaction (because don’t forget there is no commentary) is a few seconds behind the video. I’ve stopped watching over the last couple of months because as time has passed, I’ve become more angry at the terrible product that I have overpaid for. I won’t be renewing.

You can pay by game if 110 quid is too rich for your blood.

Paying 110 quid for an inferior product is too rich for the blood of anybody with an ounce of sense and self respect.

And, it would appear, with sub standard broadband. There's nothing wrong with the picture at all when I've used it.

People who whine about ifollow (half of whom are watching in the U.K. Via VPNs and deserve no sympathy) are like those people in the Louis CK "wait a second" bit.

"Oh I'm watching a game taking place 3,000 miles away for a fiver on something set up exclusively for fans like me and the picture, having been dragged around various cables and bounced into space, is a bit jerky. Woe is me! This is an outrage!"

Simply said I’m not going to be renewing because it’s not worth the money.

Me neither, I'll just chuck JL94x4 some more cash for the away games and hope he keeps up the good work. :D

Luckily I own my own server company and my datacenter is in Germany. Therefore I just tunnel my home connection to my server which makes me appear as being in Germany on a 1gbit up/down connection. Better than any VPN, however very expensive for your average person to setup.

Seedboxes are another complex workaround that can be cheap.
