I already like these owners!

I like em as well but I don’t think they will accept failure massive pressure on wilder now I would imagine. I’m not 100% buying they are in for the long haul and could see them flipping the club at some point for a tidy profit . Real world investment/ finance for sure and hopefully we can be a B club ( Brighton Brentford Bournemouth) when it come to staying up !

Because CW has repeatedly stated all players we are in talks with are first choice?

And possibly because he tried to sign Cannon whilst HRH was here and he wouldn't sanction it, and we have now gone back in and signed him?
Yes because if he does an interview and says "we're currently in talks with a few players who are our 2nd/3rd choice" they'll all still want to sign won't they? 🤣 Imagine if they walked in to training on their first day and the manager says "thanks for joining, you were our 2nd choice" I'm sure they'd feel really welcome...

2 quality signings within a week, and seems like CW is finally getting 1st choices, without being priced out.

Real statement of intent this, regardless of opinion on the price tag £10m up front is a real statement of intent.

Exciting time to be a blade. Let's get behind the team and get them over the line - we have a real chance of establishing ourselves.

You’re easily bought. Remember PA and Brayford? Chansiri and Rhodes etc. If tha were a lass tha’d be a definite shag after a brandy and babycham.

Promising start but there’s 3 more needed and I suspect the prices and wage demands have now been hiked since we started splashing the cash.

Yep £10m for us at this level is unprecedented. CW has been talking very positively about progress with the rest so we will have to wait and see!

£4m for Beattie in 2007, with 18 years inflation, will be similar.
That was under 'skinflint' McCabe though, so it doesn't fit the narrative

If new owners see Accadamy sausage machine churning out youngsters and getting £5-15m a pop I’m guessing the Cat1 will be a priority

Breath of fresh air, 5 signings this window once done, good infrastructure and will help get us Established at the top table.
Don't thing we'll ever be 'established at the top table'. As long as relegation exists, every club's just one bad season away from the drop apart from five or six PL favourites with near-unlimited wealth.

The difference here is we aren't relying on one man's wealth and mood. There's a whole board of investors, rather than one potential unhinged bloke (Tuna man) running things. Yes there's always a risk but focusing on the here and now I am delighted, and see no reason for any negativity.

No negativity. I had enough with that with PA notwithstanding he tried his best. Seen it all before. Just caution. I’m happy at the start they’ve made. I hope it continues in the same vein but the test comes if we fail this season.
