No. Just no.

Awful from start to finish. Wilder has got to admit he has dropped one with this. It's all good and well being good on set pieces but he isn't good enough in open play.

First goal - completely his fault, ball watching. Gets sucked in. They clip a simple ball into the channel and he is nowhere to be seen.

Second goal - if you are not sure about the keeper (which he shouldn't be) just fucking deal with it yourself and clear it.

Not seen a player more out of his depth at the lane for a long time. May have been half decent at Bury but this is a different beast and his simply is not up to to it.

Not been in long and couldn't understand why there wasn't a Hussey thread.

Jesus Christ, we will go down if he continues at left back due to the number of goals he'll give away.

Agree with your analysis. I guess the only cover we have at left back is Keiran Wallace. We can't go to Millwall with Hussey playing there, we will be slaughtered.

that second

that second goal was all his fault he signaled to long to leave it only to be beaten to the ball by the striker leaving long at the near post with no chance to save it not to mention long gave him a right bollocking after goal went in and hussey just walked off

wilson was alright tonight actually seemed to carry o'connell at times especially in second half

Lad spent 88 minutes kicking the ball as hard and far as possible as though he was wearing blinkers, then for last two when O'Connell went up front for a diagonal ball decided to start passing to Brayford.

Great cross for EEL to head in the equalizer yesterday.

Competition for places is a great thing innit !

It is pal. To be honest, when we played Leicester team at BDTBL a few weeks ago, Hussey was like another player, continually beat his man and continually put quality balls into the box that we were not able to capitalize on. He also took a shot from outside the box that was like a missile. Maybe he just needed a bit longer to settle in?

Great cross for EEL to head in the equalizer yesterday.

He was poor first game away at Bolton, when he was described by Trig Jnr (TE) as the new McEveley.

Yesterday, he played well, he got other crosses in as well as the one for the goal. He took all the corners and there were plenty towards the end and I felt they were an improvement on what had gone before (can't remember who was taking them, Duffy?)

I suspect he did enough yesterday to secure a place next match. That does not include Tuesday. Proper match, I mean.

He was poor first few games Trigger, seemed like a fish out of water and his corners ended up on the roof of the net.

He seems to be finding the form that CW and AK saw in him to bring him in. Like I said, in the Leicester game, he outplayed them for the most part, and the delivery he gave was great.

Hope he keeps it up.

Lafferty got the face on when CW took him off but Hussey did well it sounded.
Is that how looked? to those went?

Hussey played well when we were camped in their half.

Don't think there has been doubt in the past about his delivery, isn't it how he defends?

Freeman appears to have added a bit to his defensive game when we have gone to a 4 at the back - need to see more before further judgement.

Having said that - would prefer 3-5-2 every time and as of yet we haven't seen Hussey at wingback - he might be better than Lafferty.

I suppose if we continue to dominate the home team the way we have with Gillingham/Wimbledon and now Fleetwood it won't really matter who plays tbh.

That's where we will see the best of hussey when we are throwing the kitchen sinks at teams ,great delivery

There was a bloke near me moaning because Hussey was taking the corners. Apparently because he's tall, he should be in the box.
Some people don't understand football and just like to moan

Is it ok not to like players just because of the way they look? I mean, I can't really decide about Hussey, because I don't like that silly hairstyle he's got, and it kind of clouds my judgement of him as a footballer. His hair looks like it has been part-bleached and ramped up on his head by a trolley-jack. It looks like it's about to take off. A bit like a cloud. I just can't stop looking at it when he plays and it's spoiling everything for me!

Think he played well again the other day when he came on too. Maybe he's started settling down now.

Certainly looks better in a 3-5-2 than he did in the previous formation. Lafferty has been far from perfect so a bit of a jostle for a starting place is always a good issue to have. Hope he's working hard in training.

You beat me to it - 3-5-2 seems to favour his game - in fact he may be a better bet than Lafferty.

Same with Freeman - when relieved of many of the defensive duties, these two look half decent.

I watched Hussey very closely during the 2nd half v Fleetwood and his crossing, is as Wilder said when he signed, very good. He never looks where he is going to put it, juts relies on his contact to be correct and instinct as to where it should go.

Just hope we don't go to 4 at the back with any of our full backs.

3-5-2 tonight please and Bradford.

Now seen enough of Lafferty to establish he's no better than Hussey.

In fact, Lafferty has been the weakest link in our overall recent improvement.

So with Lafferty injured, Hussey has his opportunity, and I think he will take it.

UTB

Lafferty can defend though. Pretty well actually, he's very good in the tackle. Still not sure about Hussey defensively but the 3-5-2 is suited to him, like it was for Borbokis under Spackman really...put him in a back 4 and he looked pretty crap too.

I don't think Lafferty is injured. Wilder said they took him off on Saturday as a precaution and that he expects him to be fit for tonight.
