After those two bad results, people were crying out for Duffy and Sharp in the side, with others also suggesting Freeman deserved his spot.

He puts Sharp and Duffy straight back in to help us win the next 3 games.

Fast forward to today: all 3 start and we win our 4th league game in a row.

Chris Wilder is a talented manager, but he’s proved that crucially, he’s a humble one too

Sharp was simply fantastic today, not only taking his goal very well, but his shielding , holding up of the ball and drawing fouls took a lot of pressure of us and allowed us to move players up the field

him and McGoldrick looked like fresh youngsters at times and some of their diagonal runs and cheeky runs in behind were really good

Too old

I've heard that their legs could go at any time

Some bright sparks on here were telling us all that perhaps Billy should think about taking himself over the pond to play in the States as he was coming to the end of his career....

They should re-build the funny farm up at Middlewood again for some people. Fukin spiders.

What was that Wednesday song I'd walk a million miles for one of your smiles oh Sammy. About a Middlewood resident who the Pigs adopted as an emblem. Better than Tango Man anyway.

That pace comes in the form of crisp passes, 1-2's and knocking the ball about one of the most organised sides in this league for fun.

Tell you what though Swiss, if we did have some pace in that front line imagine what Norwood really could do? be one defence splitting pass after another. not gonna complain more than happy with our budget group of Renford Rejects

Washington came on, first pass to him was a ball over the top from I think Norwood.

Can sense that's going to be a great avenue for the tough away games.

Let the ball do the work. Triangles galore today.

It was lovely to watch

Absolutely, mix it up.

Washington said that he brings pace, power and hard work. If thats the case, then i think we could have a very dangerous player on our hands.

Today was class, the bench was filled with options and we have more to come back in

Can we replay those first two games please now Norwood is here!?

It can be argued that we need a top quality playmaker to get away with such an attacking set up against the better teams, in which case Wilder may still think the Swansea/Boro line ups were what gave us the best chance of results. Norwood has looked world class so far, really shaking my head at how we could find someone that good at such a cheap price.

Surely I wasn't the only one worried when Villa got a goal back? I relaxed when I looked at the scoreboard and saw it was 85 minutes :)

How about this? How do we finish last season if Norwood came in the January straight after the Coutts injury?

Also, are you saying Fleck and Duffy can't create enough against better teams?

Got to say, thought Sharp and Duff have really stepped it up. Always said we missed Freeman last season and tbh I believe he's showing what we did miss.

As much as I love Baldock for his drive and passion, and he clearly loves it here, I always have preferred Freeman as a player. Maybe it is just the memory of that glorious promotion season where he absolutely smashed every other RB out of the league with his performances.

He seems to have a particularly good understanding with Sharp as well, assisted 2 of hs goals now already and I seem to recall he set loads up for him before his injury.
