Hull Now Interested In Stead?
The latest striker to be linked with Hull City appears to be Sheffield United's Jonathan Stead if this morning's reports from Radio Humberside are to be believed.
Brown has had interests in Sheffield United already this season when he attempted to sign defender Chris Lucketti and striker Christian Nade. However, it now appears he will once again try to do business with Bryan Robson as he makes an approach for Jon Stead.
Stead enjoyed a successful end to the Premiership season at Bramall Lane, but following the arrivals of James Beattie and Billy Sharp, the striker's first-team options have been reduced, suggesting a move may be imminent.
The striker would be sure to attract a price tag of at least a million pounds. The striker enjoyed a successful loan spell with Derby County last season in the Championship where his goals helped carry Derby's momentum into the Premiership.
Phil Brown has ten days remaining with which to make any permanent additions to his City squad. After the 31st August, Brown will only be able to add to his squad on a loan basis, meaning Brown must quickly identify what is needed to improve the squad.
They can fuck off.
