Sorry for stealing your thunder Micalijo. I wonder how Mr B will approach Saturday's encounter? I may be wrong but I think there is no bad blood between these two and Sturrock doesn't seem to be one to antagonise managers.

That said, the conventional hug/arm round shoulder could prove difficult due to the amount of cornish pasties Sturrock has been tucking away throughout the years.

Therefore I am plumping for a ruffle of the hair, big grin and "we're both experienced managers who have had to work under difficult circumstances, i wish you luck for the rest of the season but hoping to trounce you this afternoon"

This will go one of two ways. Poor old Stuzza isn't a well man, which could mean either....

Blackie goes in for a loving, caring, sharing, Diana hug.

He's worried about catching something and offers only a gloved-hand and a sideways glance.

It's career defining stuff this.

No problem at all.

I agree with you. I think we'll get from the embrace that Blackwell is trying to suggest that they both have really difficult jobs, they are both hamstrung by fiscal worries and they are both getting unfair grief. Our recent wins will however see Blackwell go into overdrive on the patronising front (I'm over the worst now Paul but stick at my old son - things will get better), although not to quite the extent he did at Scunthorpe when he looked like the Prince of Wales did when meeting the Cumbrian flood victims. Mind you, the Cumbrians looked pleased to see him unlike Adkins did when Blackwell accosted him

There might also be a bit of 'banter' from Blackwell that Warnock is looking for a new job and he fancies mine or yours.

Slightly off topic, but his offspring go to an educational establishment in Plymouth ;)
