Will we rise like a Falcon from the flames?

Or crash and burp like a Vauxhall Nova?

We need a really bright away kit as then it would be the only thing that is bright about SUFC

I've gone for positive.

Firstly, every club goes through a patch and we're having ours now. United were here long before I was born, and will continue long after I'm dead, a 3-10 year downturn is in the scheme of things, a blip. It happens to all clubs, we're just the generation it's happening to now.

Secondly, losing £10M a year cannot continue, it's not in our interest, it's not in the interest of our owner. Something has to give and something will give. When that moment comes, the abyss could be closer but for many clubs it's the moment of truth and the time to wash away all the bad associated with their clubs. That's where the positivity can come from.

The blip will end and the moment of truth will arrive one day, and the longer we continue as we are doing, those moments must be getting closer by the day.

Sorry, didn't realise I had to do it in less than 10 words, so:

Rubbish - Worse - Cut Loose - Even worse - Reborn

The problem we have in changing is the cost associated with changing the team, if we want a complete overall, then it is going to cost money, to get rid of Doyle, and others as we would have to pay there contracts up, or come to an agreement that allows them to leave for nothing, if they can get a deal, which is doubtful. I don't think we can change the team significantly even with a new manager, even if McCabe loosens the purse strings. We are really in a catch 22 position, no money to get rid of players we don't want, and no money to make good additions.

Where is the knight in shining Armour when you need him.....

There is also a cost in not changing and standing still. 5/6th in Div 3 is the route to oblivion.

McC needs bigger balls than at any time in the past.

He's got them, appointing Wilson showed that.

Please get it right this time.

I agree with that, but as I say it's a catch 22, and McCabe in the past has always gone for the status quo, so is he willing to invest even more to get us out of the shite that is mainly of his own making...... answers on a postcard please

I'd disagree.

Robson and Wilson were both big changes on his part and a real effort at trying for success.
They were the wrong men to back, that was the problem.

History suggests we'll be having the same conversation in 12 months’ time, hope I'm wrong.

Robson I am convinced was a Terry Robinson appointment, OK sanctioned by McCabe, but Robinson pushing all the way, and yes I believe McCabe was making an effort for success. Wilson no, He had no real track record, save Barnsley for 1 season, and with us he inherited a team, and his only real success in the first season, was getting the best out of Evans,

I agree that we we more than likely will be having the same conversation in 12 months time.

you never know , its like baking a cake

get the ingredients right , get a nice smooth mix that blends together well and who knows

we had a bad egg 11/12
no yeast to help us rise last year

its the little things that matter, and some fresh ingredients

lets hope we dont get too many puddings next year

I've been a Blade since the mid 70s and have always tried to be optimistic. But after this season I can honestly say I've never ever felt as despondent as I do now.

I've always felt a glimmer of hope, even after relegation from the old 3rd to 4th division, I knew we could bounce back. Now I feel nothing. I just cannot see a glimmer of hope. That light at the end of the tunnel has been extinguished. My half full glass has been knocked over and is now empty. I believe McCabe is the one thats knocked it over.

We need a miracle, starting with the appointment of a manager that can pull rabbits out of hats. And given McCabes past history with selecting mangers, we're up shit creek.

After such a limp-wristed captiulation to Yeovil no one has confidence in the current regime. The Fiefdom is rotten. Where is the rebel army when you need one?

Their still hand delivering Xmas cards to Reg Brealey and reading about Indian factory workers.

My opinion is the club is gearing up to become South Yorkshire's Crewe Alexandra.

Loads of talented youngsters
Profitable sales of these youngsters
Wander up and down the Football League
Be really really happy when the balance sheet is in the black.
