How do you think Nigel will approach the Chessy game?

Now we are through to PO what ever, do you think he will put out his strongest side or do you think he will blood a few of the fringe/academy players in the same way he did last season at this stage when we played Rotherham?

I suspect he will do the latter in order to rest players for the Play Off matches.

He has said he wants to secure 5th place and I think he'll play his best team, leaving any injury doubts - even slight ones - out

Negatively :)

The last time we put out a really experimental team was Swindon at home I think. Great result - but from memory we were very lucky that day: could easily have been 3 down before we scored(?).

I'm going to take a flyer here and say ...... he will go out there to try not to lose the game. That would be a surprise this season wouldn't it ?

I for one, am fed up with us showing so much respect to the teams in our division. We should EXPECT to beat every team in our own Division at home ( and I don't mean that in a big headed, arrogant piggy fashion ) because we are one of the bigger Clubs with more resources than most.

We have hugely underachieved this season regardless of what the Pig Star or the Club say and that is down to a combination of lateness of resources from the Board, poor choice of signings, injuries, shoddy displays and pathetic tactics.

Put it right damned quick NC !!!!

That could have been many games this season where we could easily have been 3 down before we got started.

I think he'll suddenly appear at the car park gates wearing a stetson and chaps. Everyone in the car park will immediately stop what they are doing and stare at him in silence. He'll spit on the ground to the side and then walk purposefully down the silent car park towards the player's entrance. People will move out of his way as he passes, a group of teenage girls will giggle like, well, teenagers. Just before he goes in the player's entrance, he'll look down at a dwarf (or 'stunted growth person' - whatever the PC term is these days) who is waiting for autographs. He'll take off his 'Nigel Clough - Manager' name badge and pin it on the dwarf's jacket saying "You're the boss now" before disappearing through the door.

3 goalies and 8 defenders is probably what da will need!

Hope he does play some kids, might win

McFadzean (LB), Khan (MF), Calvert-Lewin(MF) and Adams (probably up front) to play for me.
Pity Long and Diego are not here
yet :)
Make a nice change (and improvement) to have some legs in the team.
Reed may be needed Thursday if Flynny is not fit.

My prediction is that we'll have 70% of possession and lose 2-1, play MK Dons in the semi and get bullied by them.... again. How I wish we had Bassett's team of 1988-89 to play MK Dons, it wouldn't be pretty and hopefully someone would break Carl Baker's legs.:mad::mad:
