With Alco on most of that...
McCabe must go........someone needs to remind him that 'the value of your investment may go up or down'... I never saw any detailed analysis from any of our financial 'experts' (I know we have them) about the proposed transfer of debt for shares...this seemed like McCabe doing the right thing but I'm not sure (i) if this is actually happening or (ii) if it really is a good thing. Whatever, I don't think we will start to recover until McCabe goes.
Is Adams the right person to rebuild United, his signings have been a mixed bag....Bent - awful, Collins/Doyle - mediocre journeymen, Risse & Lowry - potentially good, Mattock and Vokes - hard to tell. And he's managed to get rid of Britton, Bartley - two of our most skillful players who we could (arguably) have kept for the rest of this season and Ward and Jordan for what appear to be personal fall-outs/attitude problems. He's also slagged off unidentified players. Hardly a recipe for good man management. We are probably stuck with him unless he walks away as there is likely no money for a pay out.
Season tickets - likely to plummet to around 10,000 - a big 'we are truly sorry, we screwed up big time' and no price rises is essential to win back some of the alienated fans. In an ideal world the same big 'sorry, we screwed up' and all tickets 250 quid might restore goodwill, but I doubt we can afford the gesture.
