without laughing!

Honestly, one of the most obvious penalties I have ever seen in my life. What on Earth was he doing?

Glad it didn't cost us, but I seriously laughed out loud when I saw it (as I already knew the result).

He must've also laughed about how much the taker missed by.
Someone in their crowd thought it should not have been given.

I saw it different. The player stuck his leg out to the right (viewed from front) and McC runs into it. At normal speed I can't blame ref but IMO he was had.

From where I was sitting in the South Stand, Kop end, it looked harsh but seen it on tv today and the ref was spot on. On our first pen I was in the perfect position to see the ref indicate play on from the first pull back on McNulty (outside the box). If the Plymouth defender would have got a clean tackle after it I've no doubt the ref would have given us a free kick. As it was he was spot on to give the pen, although I thought the Plymouth player was very lucky to stay on.

It wasnt a stonewaller, some refs give them some don't, this ref did. Clumsy defending really.
