Well we got turned down with any plan we went to with the council just trying to better the area and the club. It happened on a number of occasions.

The council was dominated at the time with owls fans.

The training ground that the owls have is actually owned by the council to start with. It's only leased to the owls and that is what they are trying to sell.

Im glad the hotel has been granted planninng permission. It will be a great assett to the club and the local area!

Latest on the Hotel............

Sheffield United Football Club (SUFC) has announced that the new hotel to be built at its Bramall Lane stadium will be operated by Millennium & Copthorne Hotels.

Work will begin on the 149-bedroom, four-star hotel early next year, ready for an Autumn 2008 opening.
