It has been a dreadful week for the club.

After an emotional week, having lost a close friend and colleague, you do wonder about the mental and emotional state of many of those players who played today.

In another work place you’d like to have had an emotional tribute to Maddy and then just sent everyone home.

I don’t know if it was ever under consideration to call the game off. Perhaps the authorities just don’t allow that.

That wasn’t a Sheffield United performance at all for me.

I’d just recommend holding off on giving anyone too much stick in the circumstances.

The players will be hurting no doubt. But sometimes life is simply more important.

100% agree.

I know other players have had personal losses (our Billy for one) and I am in no way taking anything away from their grief and performance, however they had a team around them to support them. This is a whole club and team who lost someone.

Its not an excuse. Maddie should have got a result the other way round, but let's pull together and see where we go.
