I must have watched a different game. Don’t think we were that bad, we just got beaten by a better team
I never said we were bad. But we weren’t better than Forest. We need to be to reach the final.

For how bad we were, it’s the best result we could have realistically hoped for.

Need to step it up on Tuesday, though. Surely we can’t be that bad again?

It’s right there, you know? The bit where you said we were bad…

It was a strange one. When we’ve played badly in the past this season, it’s been a lack of effort, organisation or poor tactics. Yesterday, the overall approach was ok but there were so many occasions where the execution was just ‘off’. Some of those were accidental (e.g. the slips) and some were just off days where things just wouldn’t come off (e.g. Norwood’s passing). Both of those things are subject to chance and, on another day, wouldn’t have happened.

One thing that struck me yesterday was the poor communication at times. I counted at least four occasions where a simple “man on”, or putting a name on it should have been done, but wasn’t. That’s inexcusable at professional level.

I'm saying this with saddened eyes ....I think we will be humiliated if we go up ..
I'm not convinced we will spend the relative money required.....

We need to win a game to get to Wembley. That’s it.

If you’re good enough to play in the premier league, then you should be well capable of going to a decent championship side and beating them.
Our opponents have already done it.
Huddersfield haven’t done it. I don’t think Luton will do it.
If we can do it, then we should go to Wembley believing we can go up.

Are we good enough? Tuesday’s result will tell.

Fair comment really.

And far far stranger things have happened than overturning a one goal deficit against a good team.

Blades wasted all our chances. Some nice football at times, but except bundling that late one into the goal... We blew all our promising positions.

On Tuesday we need to be better as individuals, in defence midfield and attack. We can do it.

Of course we might lose again, Forest are definitely favourites. But it's also very possible we can do it.

I have sneaky feeling in my water that that last minute goal by Yaya is going to be huge. Some may say it is the onset of cystitis but I don't think so. Believe! 😉

Our hope is that Forest’s players shit themselves on Tuesday night. Pressure is on them.

If we can get the 1st goal it will be game on, has others have said them scoring first yesterday gave them and their fans a lift and at the same time effecting us the other way.
I cannot work out if it was just one of those days when nothing really came off or it was down to Cooper's tactics and set up. We didn’t play that bad yesterday and can certainly play better so I hope it was the 1st.
In the Fulham match most things came off, MGW little flicks, Berge surging past players, Norwood pinging accurate passes, Ndiaye getting in good positions yesterday nothing hardly came off.
We definitely need the Norwood, Berge, MGW and Ndiaye that turned up against Fulham on Tuesday. We also need to do better with our crossing and dead ball situations.
I'm putting my tin hat on here because he's been brilliant but MGW you don’t have to pass to Ndiaye every time, there was one particular situation yesterday when he tried to thread the ball through the eye of the needle to Ndiaye when there was a United player in space on the overlap.
I have given the rather sarcastic nickname of Tactical Genius to Hecky in the past, on Tuesday he'll need to genuinely earn that nickname if we are too stand any chance of going through.
There is hope on yesterday's showing I don't think Forest looked all that great defensively(stats might disagree with that) but I thought their No 2 was poor defensively and their keeper looks like an accident waiting to happen, but we have to do a lot better with our final ball, we rather let their keeper have a easy afternoon yesterday.

The biggest concern for me is not the result. It’s how both the previous two games against them have been very similar and tactically we’ve been outdone. Their a decent side of course they are but our set up plays right in to their hands. We surely knew what they’d do with the counters but it still looked as though we were shocked and surprised by it. And we couldn’t handle it.

I’m not sure if they’ll have the same approach at home but some tactical masterclass needs to be deployed by the management and quickly.

No doubt that the better team were Forest .... but the better team doesn't always win in football matches on a one off- Look at Man City against Real Madrid in the 2nd leg. City were by far the best team over the 2 legs and should have won being 2 goals up in injury time !! But they lost to a side that scored 3 goals in a few minutes. I know we arent Real Madrid or anywhere near but it outlines the unpredictability of matches

It’s the hope that kills you…. I don’t think I can bare to watch the second leg………

Another season in the Championship might be a good thing. It will give the club a chance to develop some of the outstanding young players. If we made it to the Prem, they's hardly get a look-in.

Sounds like the excuses that our city neighbours made when they failed to progress.
if we go up we get + £150m.
money needed to buy better players; send our youngsters out on loan if necessary but going up is preferable to another year in the championship

We basically need the first 25 minutes against Fulham or the last 35 minutes against QPR.

That's recent evidence we are capable of that and Forest are also a young team. No saying how they go when under unexpected pressure.

"if we go up we get +150m"

The most misleading statement in football, and yet practically everyone believes it.

The club receive the money, how they choose to distribute it is their prerogative. Much rather have the option

I can't see Forest not scoring....which means we will have to score at least 3 times, which I also can't see happening....(or twice to force extra time and pens)
