Thought he played well for most of the game with his pace. Ruined our best passage of play near the end though with a bad cross field pass.

Thought he did fine. If Sharp had played that same way I'd just say lack of service.

To be fair, the game was won in the first half and we played sensibly, Rotherham decided that they'd drop even deeper with 10 men, and passing it round was the right play.

Excellent movement in behind every time he plays, but you have to look for the killer ball when we're transitioning from defense to attack.. He's not a natural at running the channels like a lot of people automatically assume he would be-s given his pace. He likes to stay in between the posts and make his runs from there. Slow lateral passes aren't the best way to benefit from his game as the space in behind has evaporated by the time he receives the ball..He did, however, look useful when he played off of Madine in the Reading game, so we know he can play off a target man.
Re the Wendy game: Wilder expected the pigs to continue their recent high line, high pressing system. He set us up with our counter attacking team which revolves around an earlier ball into Madine and a quick counter utilising Dowell's pace. Bruce set them up with a narrow shape and low block, man marking key United players which somewhat surprised us.That's the thing about football, you don't know what the opposition is going to do until it's too late. In hindsight I think our lock pickers Duffy and Mcgoldrick would've started.

Some of you really are laughable, looked extremely bright and chased lost causes all game due to us not playing him the ball. Will prove to be an excellent addition IMO.

“Didn’t exactly play very well” is also a fair assessment imo.

He was invisible for most of it. Don’t forget this is a player who someone paid £12m for. I’m glad we don’t do silly things like that.

Take a look at Benrahma for Brentford on Tuesday night then tell us which of these two you’d like us to sign in summer?

Not knocking Hogan, but Transfer fees mean nothing. He’s not done anything so far to suggest he’s better than what we’ve already got.

Well on that showing neither McGoldrick or Hogan would have made much of a difference on Monday.

Mcgoldrick should be first choice striker like having two Duffy’s on the pitch
