Hearing rumours that Paddy Kenny could be coming back to us as back up for Howard with Long looking to be loaned out. I know 100% that Paddy still has a home in Sheffield though im not sure if thats his main address and he occasionally visits Pets at Home in Crystal Peaks for fish (seen him a few times, personally).

I don't want him back, the fact he had a cough, took some over the counter medication, got banned, sat on his wages for a year and they f###ed off to Leeds. Brilliant keeper when with us though, but he ruined his relationship with the club for me.

Hope its not true.
If its true I'm cancelling my season ticket.
 

But what if we decide to re-sign Marlon King as well?? You won;t be able to walk out in disgust when he scores. PK was a typical victim of SU pr twisted balls.

You mean not renewing surely? If you've already renewed what grounds for cancelling?
Not 100% sure of the T&Cs but I don't think you can ask for your money back just because you don't like a player.

If kenny comes back to the lane,it will only be to buy a season ticket,certainly not to play.Kenny,Tonge,Brown and any other ex fucking player for that matter can all buy them on any stand they want, they then can watch us rise up the leagues
 
Don't want to come across as a know all but he fucked off to QPR first , great return in first match back as well . :mad:

Cheers Latters, well I suppose if I were cynical I might ask, "cancel a season ticket for which club?" Couldn't possibly be SUFC could it? I mean, which Blades fan in their right mind would even consider such a thing, let alone air that thought in public? And I guess visiting Pets at Home is as good a basis for speculation as say.....mmmm, let me think......starting another in the long running rumour mill that is the original poster. While I'm at it, I saw a united player and his wife leave Mothercare recently, now if that ain't a cast iron guarantee why he's off to Inter Milan before the new season begins I'll retreat slowly while no one notices.

Absolutely wouldn't want Kenny back after the way he behaved both with his cough medicine and also to just go like he did. But thats the difference between him and perhaps other players.

If we need to bring in Kenny, why are we considering loaning out Long.
 
I'm sure that's all it is - a nasty rumour. At last we have a manager who insists on the highest standards of behaviour in his players. If PK wasn't past it (which he is) his record would ensure that NC wouldn't go near him.
 
Replying 'cos I've woke up early. Complete and utter bollocks! The rumour merchants clearly don't listen to a word the boss says. Character is important, values are important, as is ability. PK fails on two of these.

Paddy was a good if not great servant to this club.

People will tend to remember the nature of his exit with bitterness and this is to be expected.

Prior to this he was almost a cult hero.

If it is true it would be th first time one of your "rumours" or "ITK" posts has, so I'm not overly concerned...

He was a great servant to the club, he was a major reason behind us nearly winning promotion a couple of times and then eventually winning promotion. When he left us we slumped massively, but we stood by him and he screwed us over. I thank him for his time at the club but not the way he left us and for that reason I don't want to see him back. I think we could find a less controversial backup number 1.

Can't believe that you've managed to get everybody wound up again. At least you're claiming personal involvement this time, it's not one of your ITK mates, but the result will be the same. I don't know whether to slag you off or take my hat off to you!!
 
He's only moving back to be closer to his chemist...apparently he's been feeling a little 'wheezy'...
 
Kenny will end up at pigs you just know it, they need a keeper sold a back up to Dingles.

To be fair, I think what happened was that because we paid him for sitting on his arse for a year, he was given a contract at a massively reduced rate with the proviso that he could go if a club paid a certain fee. QPR offered said fee and off he went.

Whilst I am sure you have made up this rumour (apparently based on the fact you have seen him at Crystal Peaks- although Pets at Home is at Drakehouse Retail Park ), you would honestly cancel a season ticket because you didn't like a player we signed (you wouldn't get a refund anyway). ?

How would you have coped when we signed Terry Curran in the 80s ?
