... than this one:

DEXTER Blackstock let Sheffield United off the hook as Kevin Blackwell’s men tried to put the brakes on Nottingham Forest’s promotion charge at Bramall Lane.

Despite Forest going goal crazy in recent games, Blackstock has scored just twice in his last 11 matches.

He had the chance to get back in Billy Davies’ good books but wasted the best openings of this woeful contest in South Yorkshire.

Blackstock was sent racing clear in the ninth minute courtesy of Wes Morgan’s fine pass but he failed to hit the target, let alone test Blades goalkeeper Mark Bunn.

Two minutes later he met Nicky Shorey’s free kick but headed wide from a strong position as the home side rode their luck.

Davies’ men had arrived at Bramall Lane high on confidence following two thumping wins and an unbeaten run of 11 games.

They dominated from start to finish but for once lacked the killer instinct in front of goal. Paul McKenna tried his luck from long range on 17 minutes but saw his effort fly straight at Bunn as Forest continued to look the more threatening side.

Blackwell’s men came into this game on the back of three straight wins to rescue their season.

But the Blades lacked sharpness and hardly troubled Forest keeper Lee Camp for long spells on his 200th league appearance.

It even took a mistake from Morgan to encourage the home side’s first shot on goal when he conceded possession inside his own half to Ched Evans.

But the Wales international was never going to beat Camp from 40 yards and his effort was easily dealt with.

Camp had much more to do to keep out Jamie Ward’s header from Stephen Quinn’s cross on 61 minutes but he was up to the task.

Blackwell threw on Henri Camara in the hope of finding more spark but all the Senegal man could muster was a weak shot from long range.

It was probably written from the pub over the road in the classic traditions of the Green 'Un circa 1940s/50s. Legend has it that members of the crowd at the Bramall Lane end used to shout over the wall to the reporter and tell him what was going on.

It must have been written by Nottigham's answer to Comical Ali.

Is fatty Samuels working for the Daily Star now?

That's the worst piece of journalism I have read in a long time.

Thats just an awful article, everyone loves forest and hates united though don't forget.
