I wish some of the posters on here had that sense of perspective. It's a game of football. We won. Move on. There are more important things to moan about.A poignant day. Glad the team got a win for the lad.
Yes. Sheffield is a proper city. United at times in the best way.Fair play to Wednesday fans btw.
Showed great support for this at their game against WBA.
Fair crack to the pigs and wba. Tell you what talk about perspective with the bed wetters.
No you got me completely wrong. All I’ve read on this forum since full time is how terribly we played. If ever there was a day to simply enjoy the win as a mark of respect for a tragic event it was today. So you use a tribute to Harvey thread as an opportunity of calling out the 'bedwetters'.
Pathetic.
RIP Harvey.
I questioned this in another thread. Apparently, when the Harvey flag was unfurled on the Kop, that's what set the applause going slightly early which was on 12 minutes. I didn't realise this at the time as I was on the Kop.How come there were two stoppages? It was a bit odd that there was a stoppage on the 12th minute then again on the 15th minute.
I can’t remember hearing anything being announced so maybe a bit of miscommunication?

I tend to agree but I think the lack of respect during a minute's silence (often unintentionally broken by fans on the concourse not knowing it's happening) led to the minute's applause. This has evolved into applause during the game - especially when it is fans who are being remembered. I thought it was the most effective tributes/mark of respect I have ever experienced - but in the circumstances, had a minute's silence/applause been observed prior to the match starting, I'm sure it would have been well observed - the numbers of Portsmouth fans on the march meant they were well aware of it.I do think these tributes/mark of respects are much better before kick off. It has more impact and everyone in the stadium knows why they are showing respect.
Obviously yesterday I knew the reason for the applause but the majority of the time I haven’t got a clue.
Just my opinion, no disrespect intended.
I don’t recall seeing a game stopped as a mark of respect. For me, that was the most powerful aspect of yesterday’s tribute. I could imagine that Harvey’s family would take some very small comfort from that gesture.I do think these tributes/mark of respects are much better before kick off. It was on the BBC main News as well quite clearly at one point.Seen a YouTube video of the march and was disappointed to see a BBC/Sheffield United hooligan banner being held in the forefront at the end of the March in front of St Mary’s while posing for photo’s.
I mean, WTF???
Wrong time, wrong place and totally inappropriate.
Go back the eighties where you belong.
I just can’t get how anybody would even begin to think that was a good idea.It was on the BBC main News as well quite clearly at one point.
I think that was the video I watched.Anyone attend the walk to the ground and get accosted by a vlogger?
My wife said a bloke with a microphone and camera was asking her questions and by the sounds of it was probably a right wing type.
Blaming police and talking about immigration. Said he was there at Manvers.
Sounds like he was hoping for some controversial comments or getting footage of something to fuel his agenda.
The family started walking in front of the kop and this started the applause, it then caught on with the rest of the groundI questioned this in another thread. Was it him Davalon ?Anyone attend the walk to the ground and get accosted by a vlogger?

I've looked through the videos and the BBC banner was prominent behind the 'Lives not Knives' banner right from the start. .Shocking reallySeen a YouTube video of the march and was disappointed to see a BBC/Sheffield United hooligan banner being held in the forefront at the end of the March in front of St Mary’s while posing for photo’s.

Not allowed to say what we think??? FFS. An awful, act has happened in our hometown. We’re all gutted. Sheffield, though despite attempts to portray otherwise, a fantastic city to live in. He has to stir/stoke up bad feelings between communities. What the hell is this? Who’s filming/editing?
Haven't got a scooby doo pal. Just saw it on YouTube. Bit strange if you ask meWhat the hell is this? Who’s filming/editing?

You did well to last that long. I gave up in the first minute with that lad saying "Every single one of 'em needs shooting int face" (yes it was placed there as a teaser to watch the rest of the video, admittedly).Watched that up to 18 minutes - had enough of hearing his views by then
