I didn't go but to those that did.

How did Palace play, what stlye?

Was is very different to what we would expect under Warnock?

Did they pass it more than we would expect to see under Neil?

If they did then could our team manage the same under a new manager so soon?

Just been on a Palace forum, some quotes:

I didn't have to look hard to find these. Please take note McC!!

'No time for ratings, but what a difference.
The players looked like they weren't afraid to play football.'

'We played very very well:
On the deck
Short passes
Speroni playing to the full backs
Clyne bombing forward'

'Enjoyed the TEAM performance and the change to the style of play.'

'Had a real sense of 'new beginnings' today.
Was really nice to see some proper wide play again, lots of passing and crossing.'

'That's the best football I've seen since we beat Burnley 5-0 two years ago. Let's hope that there is more of that to come.'

'Enjoyed that, so did other half.'

'Pleased with the result. We passed the ball well, and put together a few good moves.'

'Great game
Good football'

'Great performance today. Best we have played leaque wise for a long time.'

'There was a piece of play that lasted around 30 seconds which was Barca-Esq. Interplay between Clyne, Derry, Andrews and Ambrose. The ref blew up for a foul on ambrose when clyne was free in the box but it was a joy to watch.'

'It was nice to see the ball played on the floor so much today and it really made a difference.'

Just imagine walking out of The Lane at the end of a game with your head held high after playing football.

Palace played very well, and played some good football throughout. Nick Carle in the middle of the park absolutely bossed the game, with Derry holding the fort behind him.

I think we do have the attacking players to be able to play a passing game. Ward, Williamson, Yeates, Camara and Evans all suit this style of play. Then we can have either Harper or Monty playing the role that Derry was yesterday.

I think we'd need better full backs because we're playing two centre halves there but with a bit of work we could easily manage it.

Palace played the ball on the floor and passed to a team mate.

They also tackled back and won most tacles fairly apart from when Derry scythed down Cresswell from behind.

The full backs crossed the ball to willing strikers.

Their strikers also stuck their heads in where it hurt.

Palace had a will to win.

All things that were missing from our shower.

Palace also had a new manager in charge. Look what usually happens when there is a new manager.

Watching SSN yesterday there was, I thought, a very interesting comment from John Solako who was watching the QPR game. He said that the QPR full-back had tried to pass it into midfield, and they almost got caught out by an attacker. Solako said that Warnock had gestured to his defence to go long and get the ball in the channels. 15 minutes later they are two up against the classiest opposition in the league.

Does anyone think the QPR fans will mind the loss of good football..?
