Or potentially have the opposite effect when he learns he's on £15k/week less (figure plucked out of the air and not confirmed).I wonder how much magic his pal can work, in keeping him here?
He is not out of contract, he just has a relegation release clause which could be activated at any time throughout his contractAs much as I'd like to keep him I'd rather sell him now instead of losing him in January when there will be no replacement.
Ideally not have a January of will they won't they like with Illiman and Sander.

Would you sell him if it meant we could get Cooper, Burrows, Worrall and McLean over the line?
It’s a tricky one.
I’d prefer us to try to keep him and sell Anel or Souza, but what sort of contract would we have to offer Hamer to entice him to stay?
You mean like we did last year ?I'm guessing a very expensive one that would mean we wouldn't be able to bring many more in.
With how little the Prince wants to put on especially now I don't think we can afford to have 20m+ players knocking around, it's back to picking up cheap gems IMO.

Do you really mean that mate . We bought some right poo poo . Most of them will never make the team sheet again unless they are the only ones left .If we kept them they would now be leaving on a free and we'd only be getting the Anel money to rebuild a new squad, so last years business looks pretty decent at the moment.

I agree with that we were lucky i feel to have got promoted ,there were signs we were struggling in the run in .Without the two players you mentioned me would not have made it so we had no chance in the prem to survive even with them true it needed investment in the squad but we weakened it selling them .If Berge was good enough to have kept Burnley up and Illiman had a cracking season over I'm France I could have seen your point but either wouldn't have made a difference in overall a very poor side.

Not much chance of us doing a forest . They spent mega money and even then they struggled . The prem is now a closed shop . Promoted teams dont stand much of a chance . Average players going for mega bucks on mega bucks wages make survival out of reach for most championship teams to survive in the prem.I think we needed to do what forest did if we wanted to stay up, Prince knew all along we was coming straight back down IMO that's why we gave the likes of Fleck another year, cheap option.
Agree. Burnley were far better than us in the Championship and then they splashed out over £90 million in the Premier League, not only to just get relegated, but also effectively finishing 12 points behind Forest (if you don't include their points deduction). I'd have liked Iliman and Berge to sign new contracts, but it's very doubtful they would have kept us up if even Burnley were so far behind, so with hindsight it looks like the right decision to bank the cash rather than be in this exact same position now with £25 million less in the accounts. If Berge was good enough to have kept Burnley up and Illiman had a cracking season over I'm France I could have seen your point but either wouldn't have made a difference in overall a very poor side.
Considering Burnley bought one of them 2 n all. It was just losing such an incredible player in Ndiaye just after getting promoted that hurt so much.Agree. We could have had prime Messi and Ronaldo up front and we'd have still gone down because the defence was so abysmally poor.If Berge was good enough to have kept Burnley up and Illiman had a cracking season over I'm France I could have seen your point but either wouldn't have made a difference in overall a very poor side.
Would they want to come if they saw the quality in the team jumping ship? Should be proactive and renegotiate his contract in exchange for higher release clause.Would you sell him if it meant we could get Cooper, Burrows, Worrall and McLean over the line?

He came to us on a PL contract. Are you suggesting that we negotiate a much higher wage now we’ve been relegated?Would they want to come if they saw the quality in the team jumping ship? Should be proactive and renegotiate his contract in exchange for higher release clause.
We pay relatively low wages in any division. If, IF the religation clause drops him to low wages compared to other championship clubs OR new players incoming then yes at least offer parity. Early in the tekkova saga it was muted we were being more generous with our wage structure, we can’t afford to lose him based on the old wage structure. True if PL comes in with big wages we might have let him go. But if that’s the case is O’Hare seen as a replacement? He came to us on a PL contract. Anyway, if he wants to play PL football he will go if the clause is met. Why on earth would he be interested in renegotiating his contract at this stage? If he goes I expect he will have made a football decision. In which case, the more clubs prepared to meet the clause the better, it will force the price up.
At the end of the season he told my daughter & her friend that he was definitely leaving, but that was when last season was still very raw. Nothing was ever likely to happen until after the Euros, but maybe O’Hare’s arrival might be a persuasive factor.
Bit of a red herring that part, why would any club pay more to ourselves when they know it only takes a set amount to get him? Will be better for Hamer, though we’d see no benefit. He came to us on a PL contract. Are you suggesting that we negotiate a much higher wage now we’ve been relegated?

We sold the talent that most promoted clubs are eagerly looking forward to try and lure in. Backwards approach to the Prem.Considering Burnley bought one of them 2 n all. It was just losing such an incredible player in Ndiaye just after getting promoted that hurt so much.
What does that 25 mean to us the fans? Absolutely nothing.Agree.
