Credit to this guy & Brighton on a number of counts. First he had clearly learnt from game earlier this season and realised that he had to change formation and tactics if they were to get anything from this game, on another day (conditions) and with a few bounces, nicks etc it may not have worked but it kept them in the game and made it difficult for us. Secondly, largely, as CW eluded to in his post match interview, they were were an honest bunch, not diving and rolling around aka another South coast team. Thirdly in his post match interview he did not blame VAR decisions, almost dismissed the penalty shout decision but more importantly described the Lunny challenge as two players going for a fifty/fifty ball as honest professionals. They weren't pretty, you could say with better decision making we could have won but if we were in their shoes at this stage of the season I think we would be celebrating a point which may go a decent way to keeping them up . I hope they stay up above West Spam AV and Bournemouth not least because at least there will be one club next season we know will be below us and they are all cheating bast**ds

He threw a baby at a wall really hard as he got on the coach. So fuck him.

Team of Giants....but Potter has worked his way up to where he is so I have a lot of time for the fella.
Showed adaptability and tactical nous in getting something from the game yesterday. He came not to lose and achieved it.

Not sure how long they will survive playing like that but probably just hoping to be better than a poor Villa, poor Bournemouth and a poor Norwich.

for me, those three looking like the ones to go. Spam will get lucky again.

Regarding the time wasting, that Shallotto (whatever) fair play to him, when his number came up to be subbed he walked off the pitch at the nearest point unlike Murray who ambled across to the dugout from the far side.

They brought in Potter and have ended up playing the same football they sacked Hughton for
I was just about to say the same. Supposed to replace Hughton with a more aesthetically pleasing style , but went total alehouse yesterday. Not complaining as the oppo can set up as they like, but they got away with some lenient refereeing IMO. He's just a Lego haired Big Sam (minus tits).

The ref forced him to - one of the rare instances of that rule being enforced. He had a bit of craic with the South Stand too on the way past, which was good to see

Annoyingly Potter got it right and CW's prickliness post match is probably down to the fact he didn't expect Brighton to completely change the way they play to deal with us. Thats 3 out of 4 matches against us Potter has tactically caused us problems. It wasn't pretty but it got the result.

Pre match CW said they had high possession stats in all of their games and mentioned possession based football on more than one occasion indicating we would be competing for the ball a lot. As it tuned out they let us have the ball and sat back with every available giant they could muster.

It was for us to break them down and we didn't find a way. A change of formation bringing on Mcg as a number 10 may have helped but we will never know we move on.

Unless I was more pissed than I realised I thought he did come on and created a great chance for Mcburnie? Agree he could've come on earlier than he did.

He did but I would have preferred him to be playing behind two forwards as a 10 to give their back 5 giants more to think about.

I thought they were a poor side but defended well, and caused us problems in the box when they had a corner.

As has been said already, they didn't dive too much, or roll around, but how we didn't win it, I will never know.

That performance told me Brighton are staying up. They can and do play pretty football but aren’t going to die in a ditch over it. (Hi, Norwich!)

They defended really well and nullified our crosses by dominating the box. That’s not ale-house, it’s just playing the situation.

Going forward they had little to offer but the bean poles at set pieces, and infuriatingly they nabbed a goal.

I’m with Wilder on this. We played well, but they defended expertly. That’s fair enough.
