Got to love SKY

In every game we have played since the restart sky have had a pundit from our opponents (eg Ian Taylor and Jamie redknapp.) but no former blades player in any game. Watching the coverage we’re just a support act to supposedly bigger teams.
Brian Deane must be busy. He’s the only ex player they seem to think we have. And even then its only so they can fill up half a minute by showing the first ever Premier League goal.

They eventually had post match interviews on at least half an hour after the full time whistle ... mourinho was on ages, then wilder/McBurney/burge all got about 30 seconds each, if that!!!

Our opening goal, barely got much praise, the disallowed Spurs goal was bringing rave reviews before VAR intervened.

Sky are a different beast to other commentary. Most are fickle, faux-clairvoyants who change their tune to suggest they knew something was about to happen, regardless of what that is.

Sky seem to set out by picking their narrative beforehand, backing their horse early and then only commenting on things that back up their chosen storyline. There's umpteen examples of it: West Ham and Newcastle in their respective years in the Championship come to mind. Last year, backing Leeds in the Championship - oh how we loved to ruin the party.

Loved Jose's rant about VAR being trampled by the presenter describing Citys 5th similar VAR goal being ruled out with little comment ..Icing on the cake..

Did you miss Souness talking us up?

No but it doesn't fit my agenda 😂

To be fair he did, but it was a brief comment after the entire build up had been all about Spurs with cuts to talk about Citeh and the Champions.

Sounness does like us. He saw the light in the first half against Manure at the Lane. He completely flipped from his long ball physical presumptions to "can I have season ticket".

Yeah he loves us, it was all about spurs apart from that though in fairness...

Ok back to your agenda

I mean I’ve just been on the sky sports app to see what was said, and we are literally at the bottom of the page.
Underneath NFL, Sri Lankan cricket..... absolute joke the biased towards the “big 6”

At the end of the game, they said go to Sky Sports News for reaction.

I did and they were talking about Man City/Liverpool.

Then eventually they had two minutes of Clinton Morrison waffling about the VAR decision. Then this was the entire analysis of us:

Hayley McQueen: And a good win for Sheffield United...

Morrison: Yeah.

Hayley McQueen: Now, Patrick Aubameyang scored twice for Arsenal last night, but will he sign a new contract with the Gunners????

Morrison: that VAR decision is a joke but its correct to the letter of the law.

Er...ok Clinton.
