Odd timing I know after just seeming to struggle against Scunny (even though they're our bogey side)

But W-D-D-W-D

Win your home games and draw away, its good enough for me even if the performances aren't brilliant!

Coming back to get a draw when playing 0-1 down with 9 men shows that we have spirit

Just need to get the defence and the attack playing well in the same game and we're away!

Everybody else being crap helps. Come the end of the season letting quinn go may look a huge mistake, 80 points could be enough to get 2nd this year. With a few better options in midfield we could walk this league.

That said, i feel pretty confident now that were the best team in a really average looking division. Injuries would be a calamity though. We don't have many subs Danny even wants to bring on for 5 minutes, let alone start. No idea who's going to play in place of the (presumably) suspended duo.

I've completely missed today's coverage. Why were two men sent off?

To be fair I thought they were both reds at the time but agree the ref was inconsistant and made some baffling decisions

In real time, I thought Doyle's could have been (though was far too far away for us to tell) but that Flynns was a booking at worst.

The ref had an absolute shocker even taking away the two reds.

I hope the suspensions wake the board up, make them realise we need 2 or 3 decent backups in (free agents, loan, pretend loan where everybody knows youve signed them, whatever)

I have this horrible feeling we will end up with Nick Montgomery on loan from walkabout creek rovers or wherever he's gone to!

Depends what is left on the wage budget. He may have no choice other than to play Williams wide left (or Chappell)and Harriott in the centre. Shame Whitehouse isn't fit as it could have been an ideal opportunity for him

I think we will play 433 with Macallister- Macdonald-Williams / Coffie-Blackman-Cresswell. Bit hard on Miller who I think deserves a chance.

What is his mental block we have at Glanford Park
We know we are better than them, but year in year out , we cant overcome them ,.its really baffling.
They say gypsy curses are bunkum , but the gypos around Scunny surely have us vexed

Tbf Doyle escapes quite a lot with some of his antics. I fear we'll miss him though.

Very true, we'd said in the car on the way to Scunny that he's calmed down a lot, but still gets away with 2 or 3 a match.

Well we badly need one first team player to replace either mcallister or flynn, then one of those on the bench. Doesn't need to be a world beater, and obviously won't be, just a solid league one capable midfielder with a bit of pace. And at least a back up centre back. Absolute bare minimum. Could even do a loan swap with Porter to be honest, can't see where he's getting a game from ever again. Could do a job for someone else though. Maybe send Porter to a league two side for an up and coming midfielder on a play now, buy for a pittance in january deal.

we have only lost one game , the 1-0 defeat at mk dons , in 90 minutes in the last 20 league games, same again will do nicely
well put.
were stronger than the lot of the shyte in this league,we just dont know it.
Btw,did anyone else hear edwards after the final whistle?`dire, awful and totally unorganised`were just a few of his comments on radio pig.
Playing well and winning is always nice, but playing crap and grinding out results gets you promotion.thats fact.
todays result is not the end of the world, scunny weve not won at since the 50`s,we hate the place,so a point under the influence of minus 2 players and a dodgy ref isnt to be sniffed at.

FAO Keith Edwards: any side playing with 10 men from the 15th minute and 9 from the 71st is going to look a bit "disorganised". Funnily enough, those players left on have to do much more work and can't stick rigidly to their positions.

Edwards is a Blades legend but he was before my time: there are times I wish he'd keep his opinions to himself.

kinhell Blades played 5 lost none played 60 min v 10 last 15 v 9 chances to beat cov, hammer colchester, beat what seems a decent shrews team and hammered a decent [for this league] bournemouth team who won away at then league leaders??on satdi. we are in the 3rd div stop givin it the vile billy big bollox, an get behind the blades, some on here need to realise we will lose games this season looks like younger members of squad could get game time after satdi will fookers get on there backs or support their team?

Edwards may be a legend for som,e but I distincly remember when he played for Hull, He gave the rods to the Blades contingent. Lower league player at best, chip on shoulder, We have had far better than him. He should fork off.

We have, but we didn't have better than him when he actually played for us.

Does anyone have video of Doyles and Flynn's red card? I can't find it

You can probably see them on the BBC web site but if you are looking for a quick fix then this should help?

If you go to the BBC site for sport and search for The Football League Show you will see the 8th September programme listed there ;)

Good start imo didn't expect us to take the league by storm and as claridge said on FLS not many teams start like we have after losing a playoff final. We have the squad now and if we can continue to build a good base for a promotion assault we have a good chance.

we have started slowly but remain unbeaten and only 3 points off the top. If When we really start a run we should be fine.
COYRAWW

Relatively pleased with start but also disappointed we have dropped points that were there for the taking in Coventry and Colchester. Still a solid start. Don't think we have won away though in a while.

MK 1-0
Exeter 2-2
Stevenage 0-0
Wembley 0-0
Cov 1-1
Col 1-1
Scunny 1-1
