Anyone else notice that we started causing Burnley real problems when we brought Ched on and went long to him?

The players are still coming to terms with being a passing side but it seems they have muck and nettles in their DNA. :)

But seriously, well done Yeates, Ched, Britton, Boggy and Lowton for bailing out our comedy defence. Hopefully the belief is returning.

Yep the irony of how the fans that want pretty football wasn't lost on me as we urged the direct route.

To put a positive spin on it, I think its great that we are able to mix it a bit.

The level of penetrative passing is improving, but it'll take time and I'm glad that Speed isn't daft enough to keep going down one route if its not effective enough.

Ward would've got sent off and pulled a hamstring
Willo would've gone off after an hour
Hendo would've scored one and then got sent off

So just Bartley and we'd have been 1-0 up then ;)

be nice to think all 4 of those could be in the team by xmas tho! :D
I don't believe Williamson will play this season - his injury is too deep seated and apparantly very similar to the one that finished Speedo's playing career!
Ward is an enigma, very injury prone, very mardy prone, yet has the pace and creativity to be a major player for the Blades yet due to his makeup will never achieve his potential
Henderson is a donkey, sorry an injury prone donkey with a very poor disciplinary record. He is unable to challenge for a ball without using his elbows or wrestling his opponant to the ground, He has neither the ability or intellegence (football wise) to become a top class striker.
Bartley is the only one for me that will 'be nice' to have back in the side - at least it gets rid of Nosworthy!!!

I think Henderson is actually pretty good with his feet. At least he spends time in the box rather than hiding on the right wing like Evans. Ward on the right/partnering Hendo and Yeates on the left.

I'd like to see Wright in for Simonsen, who looks a liability at the moment unfortunately.

A full stength side should be mid-table, let's hope we can add to it in January.

Good player imo Daz. Decent feet and all in all a very steady second tier striker. We are missing him massively. Too many red cards is a major problem admittedly and probably gets dragged into uneccessary battles during a game but I'm looing forward to seeing him again under Speedo.

Another player who would have settled back into The Lane ,Greg Halford is training with Portsmouth they expect to sign him on loan this week.

Dunc, Dunc. He's scapegoating Dunc.

For what it's worth, I think Simmo looks a shadow of the keeper who so impressed last season. I'm hoping he's having a blip now rather than he was having a "playing out of his skin" period whilst he was on loan.

Think Dunc's a bit busy re-writing the lyrics to that old Smiths classic "Hang The DJ":clap:
