We don't actually seem to use the forward when we're attacking, it's generally pshed out wide or we get suffocated in midfield. Can't remember too many times when we've played it into the strikers feet, whether that be Taylor, Porter or Ironside. I don't know whether this is deliberate or not but they've not seen much of the ball.
A post from BM:
Dario Grady on Passing Football
Don't know if anyone else heard the interview on the radio with Dario Grady yesterday, but he was saying that coaches nowadays are obsessed with this negative passing football. He mentioned that it's no good for players, as it takes away responsibility and individuality. He was amazed by how many young coaches are instructing players to just keep passing the ball along the back 4 without trying to force the issue and attack. Very interesting views from a man well respected in the game. Also struck a note to how we are playing the game at the minute. Are coaches being taught the wrong way nowadays??
