Coming on as a sub against Coventry in the JPT he seemed to change the game, always looking for the ball and apparently showing some good touches.

Coveted by some big premier clubs, and just seventeen years of age, he could be very good.

PS - Penalties again....arghhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Nice to see he gets a first team game for the Blades - wonder how many he will get before he is sold on?

I am already thinking of what he will be sold for.

McCabe really has had an effect on all of us.

An unknown quantity he should be making the bench over the next few months I'd like to think - plenty of players start coming through at 17, and there's no reason why Diego shouldn't, particularly at this level - if we were currently in the Championship with plenty of midfielders available we'd probably be happy sending him to league 1 to gain some first team experience.
McAllister or De Girolamo? I know who I'd rather see....

But don't worry. Everything is OK at united as we didn't lose tonight.

Could have sworn the match ended at 1-1, and that we lost a subsequent penalty shootout which is an after match mechanism to determine who progresses in the event of a stalemate. Don't recall them actually being part of an actual football match. But it seems that losing one is obviously cause for concern and proves emphatically that the wheels have well and truly fallen off.

Because we are not very good at them let's ignore that it ever happened!

No point getting excited about him. If he's as good as people are saying then he will be sold before he reaches a dozen appearances.....and probably for a modest fee.

Having said that, if he is that good we have to play him. We need a creative spark from somewhere.

Absolutely chuffed to bits that he's made his debut.

Seemingly everyone knows how much I've rated this kid when doing my updates/reports for Foxy, and I have no doubt he'll make the grade if he keeps his head screwed on. Let's hope for an exciting future for him, and as our player.

Darren will probably be able to give you the exact figures, but I think we have won as many penalty shootouts as we've lost, or at least pretty close to that.

Sold at the end of the season then? :)

Firstly, I am taking the piss in regards to not losing as many on here believe that losing on pens is the same as no losing the match in terms of records.

It's 6 wins and 8 losses (see a post elsewhere) if we don't include County Cup games. If we includer CC games its 8 wins and 9 losses (we beat Rotherham in 74 and Barnsley in 82 and lost to Wednesday in 74).

County cupgames should stand. Far more important than the JPT!:)

And Secondly............?

So, a fairly impressive cameo by all accounts the other night.

What do we reckon his chances to be on the bench tomorrow? I can see him being a regular by the end of the season.

Yeah but who for ? ;)

Hopefully he will get t a place on the bench as from what has been said he deserves a run out. Feel Chapel may get the nod ahead of him though having been recalled?

If he does get a place, not quite sure how he would fit in the dug-out with this hat on though:

Wilson has to include the lad in first team games now. If he's good enough he's old enough. He would have injected some excitement into the Tranmere game. Is Wilson scared of losing with these youngsters in?? I really don't get it. Diego or Williams on left wing??? mmmmm..Tricky one.;)

Maybe the club don't want us to see how good he is before he is sold in Jan. Can't miss what you've never had.

I have to put my faith in the team Wilson selects, but, when we have lads of this quality within our squad, and, clearly we lack that bit of flair, surely we have to introduce him into the matches, whether it's for half an hour here or there??
