Anyone know whats the problem with him?

I thought it was meant to not be a serious injury, yet he hasn't featured at all pre season since Stocksbridge.
Ligaments wasnt it?

Gutted for him cos I think he's a fantastic little player. Him and Stevens could easily be our first choice wing back pairing by october if Baldock get's fit, nothing against Freeman and Lafferty I just really rate these two. Brilliant headache to have though when he eventually gets over this injury.

Agree, Baldock has a bit of the Samir Carruthers about him, he's a bit flash and likes his flicks and tricks on that wing.
The MK Dons fans said Baldock is really talented and can be great going forward but his defending can be questionable at times.
In fact some of their fans said he'd be a great fullback if only he could defend.
He'll be our version of Kyle Walker.

The two MK lads that day that gave us real problems were Baldock and Carruthers. We signed both.

How long ago was Stocksbridge? If he's done ligaments it's 4-6 weeks minimum usually.

But in an interview CW said he was hoping to have all the injured lads back for Chesterfield, didn't single Baldock out in any way. So it's either a setback or just a wrap in cotton wool job.

The big question mark over both Baldock and Carruthers is whether they can apply consistent substance to their undoubted style and talent.

Fortunately Wilder is just the right manager to make sure both remain grounded and bring them down a peg or two if they are showboating too much and not doing enough. There's plenty of players in the game with talent that go no where and achieve very little.

Dunno, maybe it was just a throwaway comment or based on the initial inspection. When I did my medial it was too swollen to be worth scanning initially, apparently. It can take a few days to get the diagnosis right. Tbf, I'm talking nearly 20 years ago and NHS so I'm guessing things may be different now and I don't know what was in his head when he said it but I wouldn't read too much into it at this stage.

Excuses excuses, just admit you were never good enough to be TC's successor ;)

Wilder saidthey would all be available for the first match didn't he?

No panic here from what I can see just wondering when he'll be back? Missing out on pre season isn't ideal.

No but he will be fine. Freeman is ahead of him currently anyway. There's no way we can drop a guy that scored 10 goals from wing back last season.

Twenty years ago they bled you with leeches gave you stick to bite on, poured cheap whiskey on the area before digging around with a spoon.

Soooo, no Baldock since Stocksbridge even though we've had Wilder saying he might feature every game since Chesterfield. Was really expecting at least to see him on the bench yesterday.

Are we starting to wonder if this ligament damage might have been more serious than first thought?

Wilder said he would not feature yesterday but stated that he has just started training again but that they will give him time as indeed they will everyone as it us no ones interest to rush things.
Incidentally the young lad jake Bennett, who played in his position last night was possibly the best of united players until Ched came on.

He was good Bennett, especially considering he has never played wing back before. Can be pretty proud of his performance.

What difference would it make to to the message boards if it was?

I was impressed with him too.

I reckon he's guna be a worldbeater so we should get him tied down to a 5yr contract now!

Being converted from a winger to a wing back turned Victor Moses into a premier league winner, so...
