New here so not sure if this has been discussed anywhere else? Sorry if so!

What has happened to Geary? I know he's been out all last season with injury, but not seen or heard anything about him since around the end of last season? Now he hasn't been given a squad number?

I find this a little odd, considering we'll only have Walker with Bromby for back up at right back next season.

And i know id rather have him than Bromby there anyday!

Geary has (rumoured) arthritis in his Knees and may never play again

We mentioned a while back about him having arthritic knees but this was denied at the time by someone supposedly close to the club.

He has however, had a number of operations on his knees and the club are giving him every opportunity to get playing again.

Aye, you're not wrong there. It was odd as he was superb under Robson (mebbes everyone else was just shite?) then under Blackwell he tailed off a bit and had a nightmare against Wednesday at home.

Still, compared to Walker & Naughton there was no contest, could have a role to play this season though if he gets himself fit.

Am I right in saying his last game for us was Huddersfield away in the cup? He was shocking that night too.

KMc: Derek's back in training and I think, because you know, we all enjoy the spirit of Derek, we'd like to wish him well and believe he'll get back to that first team squad. So he's back in training with us.

Audience: Why doesn't Kevin Blackwell come out and tell people? There has been nothing for like, all last season at all. Not one progress report at all.

KMc: Well, I think Derek's had one or two operations, including one in America, so what I'd say, it's a long haul for him, it's been a complicated one, that's why I say I wish him well in his training now, that he actually makes his fitness to be able to play for us again.

SB: I think that we should probably shoulder some of the blame for that, because at the end of the day, you forget to ask, when you don't see a player for so long you forget about him.

KMc: It's nice of you to mention Derek Geary, because I'd forgotten about him!

I'd love to see him back if he could regain his form - not only great during Robson's time (he was one of the few players Robson's inept tactics worked for) - but was even better under St Neil in the Premiership. And he carries my lucky number on his shirt too!

Yes Santos/Kozzy, i think that was his last apperance!

I remember that game so well, Kyle N debut and goal, and Hendo scoreing hi 1st for the club. Even tho we were battered for the whole game, was quality to get one over old Tennent!!!
