Seeing as though our home form is very poor, I'd like Wilson to set out something like this:

3-5-2 formation
Long
Maguire Collins Higgo
Westlake Doyle Mcfadzean
Mcdonald Whitehouse/Robson
Murphy Ironside
What do you think?

I think it is too narrow

for me

Long
Westlake Collins Maguire Hill
Flynn McDonald Doyle MacFadzean
Porter(If no Kitson) Murphy

If we recalled Creswell I would play him instead of Porter.

None of this passing the ball slowly across the back 4 rubbish.

Play it quick, direct, get crosses in and play for the knock downs in the final third

If the 3-5-2 formation was utilised I would probably play Flynn instead of Westlake as a wing back
If Hill was fit I would have him in instead of Higginbottom as the 3 at the back have no pace, I know Hills not fast but hes faster than the others.
With regard to the 442 formation above I would play Ironside rather than Porter and I certainly wouldnt have Cresswell anywhere near the starting XI

In other words - Hoof it!

Oh dear.

Balham's XI for Crawley:

Long
Westlake Maguire Collins McFadzean
Robson Doyle McDonald Flynn
Murphy Ironside
Subs: Coyne, Hill, Kennedy, Harriot, Whitehouse, Porter, Forte
Emphasis on attack with Doyle dropping into defence if necessary a la Busquets at Barcelona. Westlake and McFadzean aiming to overlap Robson and Flynn with McDonald looking to dictate the play.
Or, same line up in a 4-3-3 formation:
Long

Westlake Maguire Collins McFadzean

Flynn McDonald Doyle

Murphy Ironside Robson
With Murphy and Robson alternating between dropping off Ironside into the space between Crawley's defence and midfield and looking for the gaps between the centre halves and full backs.

In other words - Hoof it!

Oh dear.

too right....playing this tippy tappy crap at home hasn't really worked as it has been too slow and ponderous.

Worked for the pigs last year

Any of them formations could work just one adjustment

Get fucking Doyle out!
