THIS IS FROM THE OS.
Micky Adams had 'no complaints' about the outcome of United's 3-0 loss at Loftus Road on Monday night.
Given the respective league positions of the teams the result may not have surprised too many observers but the Blades boss feels that his team contributed too much to their own downfall:
"The fact is we have a soft underbelly when we play away from home. We make wrong decisions that cost us goals and that has been the story of our season.
"At Bramall Lane we are starting to show the resolve and heart to make tackles, get touch-tight, stop crosses and to block shots, but on the road we don't clear our lines or fight it out and we put each other in trouble with silly little passes.
"Coming down here against the champions elect with their attacking talent was a big enough ask anyway without us handing them chances on a plate because a side like theirs will take them.
"It is about having the confidence to do the right things at the right time but I look back at the goals we conceded and think that they could have been avoided."
With Shane Lowry injured and Sam Vokes' loan over, Neill Collins and Darius Henderson were drafted in to the starting line-up, and for the first hour or so United were in touch:
"I always felt that our front three could get at their back four and 'Quinny' caused then real problems at times.
"In the first-half we had chances, might have had a penalty and then after the break 'Boggy' had an opportunity, but we didn't take them and their second goal drained the confidence from what we were trying to do.
"Darius getting ninety minutes under his belt was plus for us and at times he was almost unplayable - their centre-halves knew that they had been in a game."
SO WHOSE FAULT IS THIS MICKEY YOU ARE TALKING LIKE IT IS NOT YOUR TEAM, WELL AT LEAST 50% IS NOW.
