Relegation six pointers were being mentioned about five weeks ago, people were debating the merits of being relegated in order to get rid of Blackwell and to galvanzise the club in League 1. Wednesday were slowly turning the corner and would overtake us on and off the field and if only if only we had a chairman with the genuine leadership of Steve Gibson who was ballsy enough to make those big decisions to move a club in 4th position and one point off the top onto the next level by sacking their manager.

Good point, well made. Sums up brilliantly the attitude of some of our know-nowt fans.

I think we're doing well under the circumstances and considering some of the chairman and managers we've had in the not too distant past, I'm more than happy where we currently are with the personnel we currently have and how we're progressing overall.

And i said... Stick by Blackwell he's done a good job and got bombarded with said "know-nowt" fans abusing me saying i was an idiot cos blackwell is useless.

Totally agree on this one.... I got a lot of flack for my support of Blackie. Not that we're out of the woods or even on what I would call a sustained or even convincing run... but we have got our season back on track and that was the important thing during the dodgy run and the calls for a change of everything from the Board to the manager to the tea boy...

I think theres more to come but we do need to build our squad and team with permanent signings.

Blackwell said all along that it was the injuries. Maybe he was right. With a couple of better players in January he might be able to start playing more attractive football again.
