Trying to get tickets for Crawley. Not only is it intractibly shit at getting your 'account number' back online, I have been 'caller number three' for ten minutes now. What are they doing?

And their hold music is on eleven.

Fleecing you for more money over the premium line for tickets.
I've sometimes spent more on the ticket line than the face value of the ticket

You can get em to reserve your ticket at Crawley, and pick it up from their ticket office,
i've done a few times for away games, when i've not been confident it'll get posted in time.

I find online best way of sorting tickets now tho, done in 2 mins.

I tried to ring last Friday I was caller number 8 for 12 mins then 7 mins later I was caller number 7,so I gave up.
This has happened in the past so I have driven down there and walked in to find the ticket office empty and got served straight away!!
It's a nightmare!
Also,if u buy tickets online 48 hrs before the game they post them out, last week I bought 2 tickets on Wednesday for Coventry game around 6pm,they didn't arrive so I emailed and was told the deadline is 4pm wed for sat, although this is more than 48 hrs before????

They have re-set my user details so I have booked them online.

If they arrive late (which they shouldn't) I will sue the club into bankruptcy!

I booked my Crawley tickets on Saturday along with a ticket for Coventry, all online. I then read the confirmation email and realised that it was a bit of a shambles on my part - I didn't have my membership card so couldn't take advantage of the fact that it had been "activated" for Coventry and the Crawley tickets were due to be posted to my old address as I'd not updated it on the system.

One phone call later (30 mins on hold, which at 12pm on a match day is pretty much expected) and both were sorted. I don't think they should be using an 0871 number** - why not an 03xx number, which is included in mobile minutes? - but I can't complain at all about the service I got once the call was answered.

The Crawley tickets arrived this morning and the Coventry ticket was waiting at the collection point so I even managed to get to my seat before kick off, not that I was grateful given United's first half showing...!

**I believe that an 0871 number only generates around 1.5ppm for United so at an average of 15 mins a call it's still only 20p per call that United get compared to the minimum of £2.50 that the caller is charged. Sort it out, United.

I did something very similar a few months ago, rather than phone I sent an email to the Box Office and got a reply mid morning the next sorting it out. I must be blessed (in this aspect anyway) as I have never had a problem with the Box Office (and that's the kiss of death from here on)

It's so poor this ... I did an experiment the other day genuine no word of a lie ... Set off from work at sheepbridge north chez 12.30 to head down to bramall lane for tickets and I rang them from the car as I left the offfice car park - I was caller 9 in the queue .. Went to the lane via the black stock road route which those in the know will say is the quickest .. Exactly 20 mins later I drive into the bramall lane car park still on hold at caller number 3 !!!
Also when I tried to get notts county away tickets a bit last minute after another 18 minute wait on hold sufc said they were sold out but to ring ncfc which I did - phone answers after 2 rings tickets purchased in about 1 minute !
I would use online but it continues to lock me out !
Rant over

Why dont people just use online and if you dont have online details / they dont work email [email protected] ?

Ive always found the online site to be fairly simple and when needed the ticket office are swift at reply to emails. They only have maybe 2/3 staff working in the day, someone obviously has to stay for walk ins which only leaves 2 people to answer the phones _ i went in yesterday to pickup my Rochdale tickets and there was an elderly gentleman in there buying tickets and the poor lass behind the counter was having to explain every single seat in the south stand to him it sounded like! No wonder the phones take so long to get answered.

I usually buy online and if there's a problem an email to the ticket office has sorted it out. But like others on here I think the phone service is very poor and supportwhat everyone is saying about the robdog 0871 service

there is an alternative number on saynoto0870 however they just leave it ring ring then when someone in the office gets fed up of hearing it ring they answer. They then say this isn't the ticket office give you the ticket office number. youu ring back and sure enough the same person you have just spoken to answers the phone

But, given how poor the experience is for so many people who phone, and given that there must be demand as even after they are treated so badly supporters will persist, the club should better allocate resources in order to encourage rather than discourage us from buying tickets.

I imagine some first time callers are put off completely and end up being lifelong Wendy fans bc they answer the phone.

We should be doing all we can to spare them this grim and horrible fate.

A 15-minute wait for me yesterday as caller No 1! What could the previous caller possibly have been doing? You could buy a striker in that time.
And I couldn't go online because I was getting a refund for my Scunthorpe tickets, and the only way to do that was send them by post, then call to give them my credit card number (because unlike everyone else in the world, they don't keep a record of your number). Very frustrating.
If nothing else for pity's sake CHANGE THE BLOODY MUSIC OCCASIONALLY.

I've got tickets for Crawley and the service was excellent; did it online (you can't call the 0870 number from abroad) and then mailed to ask for the tickets to be delivered to Crawley ticket office. I got a very quick mail in return and everything sorted in 10 minutes, so as far as I am concerned top marks for the ticket office staff.

Never had any problem whatsoever with the ticket office. Just thought I'd pop that steamroller in the attic.

:)

I rang Crawley's ticket office yesterday asking about a ticket for the Blades end of the ground. "Don't worry sir, you don't need a ticket...you can pay at the gate. We're expecting quite a few of you on Saturday"

Whenever i'm on hold i prefer the music to be loud, as i simply put the speaker on the phone and do whatever else takes my fancy until they answer it.
