we will be going on saturday and playing with pride. Its not a forgone conclusion, we ran Charlton close and lost 2-1, have drawn with Mk Dons, Carlisle and ran Notts County close. It could be that with the pressure off we come up trumps for you.

We are stuck in a corner with no roof, but will still do our bit.

Out of interest whats the best pub for those of us coming by train?

WWFC - good to have you aboard.

I am sure that you will give it your best, but I think the piggies will be up for it and won't freeze like we did against Stevenage.

You say you're in a corner with no roof, does that mean that the whole of leppings lane will go to home fans and you just get the "condemned corner"?

yes we had up until 6pm last week to get the end, but notts county scoring in the 89th and 92nd condemned us and meant that we didnt need any more than the corner, that said 470 still making the trip for our small club

Fair enough, its obviously a sell out then and just as we found 12,000 missing fans last week, there will be approx 20k fans that aren't normally there, just to see Wycombe. Never thought you lot were such a big draw, but Wednesday fans obviously love you!

Don't disappoint them, put on a display of football, sing your hearts out and score a hatful. They're there for you!

Would be wonderful if WW could do us a favour on Saturday. Enjoy your day in the rust bucket guys and just watch your backs if you do end up pissing on their parade, they can be a spiteful bunch when things don't go the way of their obvious entitlement.

If you get a chance get a chant going about how MASSIVE they are...just be sure they understand you are being ironic!!

good luck lads most boozers towards sufc will probably give you a warm welcome on saturday - come out of station turn right and youv'e got the sheffield tap,but no shirts on match days i think- i'll gladly buy you one beforeyouhead back after winning !

I concur with the "watch your backs" comment, after witnessing what happened after Palace sent them down 2 years ago.......

Best of luck lads :)

Welcome and best of luck for Saturday.

They won't be there, but you'll have an extra 30k-50k fans on Saturday willing you on and if you get a result I might just buy myself a WW shirt and wear it to the Lane next season.

Good luck, How good will you all feel if you send 30k plus home miserable. Not to mention how good you'll make us feel.

Best wishes hope you stuff em, pubs near the ground will be packed and may not be friendly. Sheffield Tap is good but pricey. If you go by tram you want the yellow route (always looks green to me) to Middlewood, get off at Leppings Lane. Bankers Draft (Wetherspoons, but go upstairs), it's next to Castle Square Tram Stop in City Centre. There are also a few good pubs on and around West Street, again on the tram route. Have a good day,

Also, if coming by car you could take park and ride tram, £4.50 to park all day includes unlimited tram for one person, other passengers will need a day rider which I think are about same price (I got a bus pass so don't have to worry about these things) you can buy these on the tram. For P&R follow City centre signs down Sheffield parkway, you have to negotiate Park Square Roundabout at the bottom then double back on yourself as if going back again, just try to follow the signs, good luck.

Beware some strange urban clearway parking restrictions, always lots of away fans get parking tickets for parking in seemingly legal places. Also make sure your tetanus injections are up to date for your visit to the theatre of rust. It should be condemned.

Always liked Wycombe, honest hard working club. Apart from one cunt obviously.

The best of luck to you tomorrow. Hope you do it for us (and we dont fuck up)

They have already beat you when you listen to them, Come on ram it back down their piggy throats

Best of luck to you. If you do it you might have thousands of Blades waiting in town for you to buy you a pint!!

WWFC in terms of pubs, there's a few on the tram routes which are your best way of getting to and from Hillsborough. Buy a day ticket - it's not much more expensive than a single (I think).

If you're getting in early and like your ale, I'd recommend getting off at Shalesmoor and heading to the Fat Cat on Kelham Island.

The Sheffield Tap at the station is another good shout or you could head to the Devonshire Cat from West Street tram stop: Google Maps 2

Good luck on Saturday, let's hope you do the footballing world a favour :D

Surley you wont need a ticket for the tram? I cant see how any inspector could get through the crowd

Hillsborough Hotel near Bamforth Street tram stop on Infirmary Road is a decent boozer - good food and real ale, and being the phillistines they are I don't think many pig fans go in there on match days.

Don't bother going for a drink round the ground, all the pubs are absolute garbage and will be rammed with the swines anyway.

......and yes, if you win hide your colours, they seem to like 'having a go' at fans of smaller (no offence) clubs if they don't lay down and die for them.

Get off the train and have a few in the Sheffield Tap (actually in the train station). Good real ales.

Then like already stated, get on the supertram to the ground. You'd probably be better off avoiding Hillsborough and surrounding area for drinks as they have sold 36K tickets.

Castle Square tram stop or West street tram stop for beers after the Sheffield Tap but allow 30mins travel from there to the ground. Maybe more as all the woodwork fans are out!!

The tram will be really slow to the ground when it gets into Hillsborough, so allow more than 30 mins otherwise you may miss the kick off.
It will be even slower on the way back into town and if you guys win or draw (prayers offered) then the integrity of the structure of the tram will be compromised, probably.

Good luck for the game.

I really hope you can pull off a result WW. I hope your players and manager show the same passion you do. Keep it tight early on and frustrate them. If you can nick a goal then brilliant. I am really hoping that we can go ahead early and that filters through to the Pigs. My worry is that if the Pigs score, your team might crumble. Nothing to play for and all that. But I hope that the pressure gets to Wednesday and youer boys spoil the party. I'll be on the terrace down in Exeter eagerluy awaiting updates and news from the rust bucket!

The Sheffield Tap is probably your best bet. Off the train and turn right when coming out of the Station. It is actually part of the station and the room used to be a waiting room. It is a really nice pub and the ale is well kept. They've got a good selection of ales, including all the Jaipur range. It does get busy on match days though.

If you have time I'd go up to Kelham Island area. There's some cracking boozers around there and it is a real ale haven. You've got the Fat Cat, Kelham Island Tavern, Gardeners and Harlequin. All good places. It is not a long walk to the Cathedral where you can take the tram up to the Sty.

All the best. Enjoy your day out. Please, please get a result! :)

Tell you what WW, if you get any sort of result that helps the Blades, make sure you tell every Wycombe fan there to get themselves en masse back down onto London Road after the game. You'll have the party to end all parties and I personally guarantee you'll not buy a single drink all night :D

Oh yeah...
Avoid Town Centre after the game. Especially if you do beat them. The lot will kick off.

I'd get to the train station ASAP and drink in Sheffield Tap again
